Description:

Its summer and no one wants to cook or stay in the kitchen very long. So let's share our favorite salad recipes. Let this be a salad you have made or is a family favorite, not just something you grabbed out of a cookbook at the last minute. Everyone sends the same recipe out to 5 different partners. You can send a recipe card or just a print copy. Just make sure others can read your handwriting. That's why mine will be printed. :) International players welcome.

Is this about lettuce salad, or something more like potato salad?

Whatever you want!!

what happens to the odd numbered person if no one else signs up? can this be changed to all members receiving from everyone in that case? just wondering

user2102 07/20/2006 #

I have a ton of neat ones I would love to share

Deb, the number of people participating in the swap does not matter, since people are not paired up to send to each other. Instead, person A sends to person B, person B sends (let's say) to person G, person G sends to person M, etc. etc. etc. In other words, the person you send to is not the same person who sends to you. Hope I'm making sense!

Fellow participants, please be patient, as this is an international swap. Mail usually takes two weeks to get from me (in Mexico) to anywhere else, so if I mail on or near the deadline it will probably be late August when you receive it. I mention this because on two occasions I have received lower feedback here for sending "late". Actually, I didn't send late, but I guess the people on the receiving end were expecting their items sooner. Thanks!

Folks, please be patient!!! It's only been 10 days from the deadline, and I have already gotten a "1" rating from somebody for supposedly not sending anything. Sheesh! I live in a developing country, people, and the mail is slow. As I explained above, it takes about two weeks (give or take a week) for anything to get from here (Mexico) to anywhere else -- and vice versa.
Muchas gracias to everyone who is patient! Good things come to those who wait. :-)
