Mix CD Scavenger Hunt 2009

I enjoyed the last one quite a bit so I thought it was time to run a 2009 edition.

For this swap you will be creating cds. Each cd must contain a minimum of 17 songs. Each song must fulfill one of the categories noted below. You must include a track listing as well as an explanation as to which category the song fulfills. (Ideally I'd love an extra page in the package with a little note with each song telling a bit of a story (even just a sentence or two) about why it fits that category. So, if you have the time...)

You will have 2 partners and will be sending a cd to each partner.

Newbies are welcome. No unexplained recent ones and you must have signed into swapbot at least 2-3 days before I assign partners. This is international since postage should not be much.

Okay, those are the rules, now on to the categories:

1. A song that would you feel most comfortable singing in front of your closest friends and family.
2. A song that your mom liked (likes).
3. A song that makes you think of an ex boyfriend or girlfriend.
4. A song that makes you want to wander outdoors in the summertime.
5. A song that you wouldn’t necessarily normally listen to but since your significant other likes it, you do and every time you do you think of him.
6. A silly song.
7. A song from an artist whose entire cd collection you have.
8. A song with amazing harmony.
9. A song that brings you back to a specific location/time.
10. A song from a stage musical.
11. A song that you would put on an artist’s “Best Of” or “Greatest Hits” cd if you were in charge.
12. A song that makes you want to travel to a specific location.
13. A song that gives you goosebumps.
14. A song that makes you want to go on a road trip.
15. A song you heard in a movie and HAD to track down the singer as a result.
16. A song that you will one day sing to your children (or have sung to your children).
17. A song that reminds you of your best friend.
18. A song that begs to be listened to at full volume while driving.
19. A song that makes you believe in love.
20. A song by an artist that you’ve heard live in concert more than once.
21. An unplugged song.
