Sorry, but this is my first swap and I'm still learning. Do you contact me with the swap info.? Where to send, etc...

What exactly is loose tea!? Any assistance would be fabulous ♥

loricritt 06/16/2009 #

Loose Tea is tea that isn't in a tea bag. You need a tea ball or some kind of strainer or you have floating tea leaves in your cup. Most of the tea you get in a U.S. supermarket is in a tea bag (Stash, Tazo, Lipton, Red Rose, etc.).

I am so excited to do this! I am looking forward to learning more about swapping, and really excited to enjoy trying new types of tea!

I love all black teas! I like all herbal teas. I hate Chai tea. Hope that helps! I get some really nice tea that comes in sachets (round tea bags) but they are not individually wrapped. If you put them in a ziplock bag with a label would that be OK? I have a bunch of Zhena's Zen Teas that are fabulous, but like I said they are not wrapped in their own envelopes. Whoever gets me will get a nice package no matte what you decide on this. Have a great weekend!

i dont like oolong tea..everything else is fine

@LexyAnn515 After June 20th come back to this swap and on the right side of the swap box you will find your partners for this swap. After you send your items, come back again and mark your swap as sent. Remember to rate your partners after you receive your teas! @Wiccan3 I think if your partners are not tea bags collectors they wouldnt mind tea in sackets and in ziplocks.

I have joined a past tea for three swap, and living in Australia is hard to get some teas in. Teas that won't come into Australia that I have experienced have included teas that contain herbs or spices in them. Plain black/ceylon teas that are able to come in are the earl grays, english breakfast and things like that.

Maggles45 06/20/2009 #

I love decaffeinated fruit teas and the "big teabags" for ice tea, but any tea is welcome.

Inga 06/21/2009 #

@Wiggie I have sent teas with spices and herbs to Australia and they have made it through.. I think the keys is to send them in individually wrapped tea bags.

is there a certain best way to mail out these packages? air mail? how would you recommend? mine are ready to go! =)

centered 06/22/2009 #

also- what type of packaging do you usually choose?- bubble mailer, regular flat envelope? Thanks so much for helping me do this the best way possible- I rarely ship international and want to make sure each of you get your items!

daarhon 06/22/2009 #

2centered Regular flat envelope is fine.

My profile has all of my likes/dislikes for teas :) I am totally fine with getting either loose tea or teas in sachets!

boxsquat 06/23/2009 #

i usually use normal paper envies and have not had any trouble sending with partners getting the swap, even over seas.

i like most all teas really. i love chai, black, green. i am open to white teas too. the only thing i don't like is smoky black teas.

SusanCleveland 06/24/2009 #

I like Earl Grey and Irish Breakfast. The only herb tea I like is chamomile. Don't like green.

wildchilddesignsltd 06/25/2009 #

sorry susancleveland ...i got you as a swap partner, read your profile and didn't see tea preferences and mailed off the tea but now i see you just posted a preference here...i don't drink earl grey or irish blend mostly herb, green and fruity so that's what i sent...again sorry, wish i knew before i mailed.
