I have been drawn to the cupcake-themed swaps I've seen around the 'bot lately, but I always feel like I need just a tiny bit more wiggle room on the theme.... so.... I created this simple, fun, cute dessert matchbox swap. The swap is very easy. You simply create or decorate one 32-count matchbox (2 x 1.5 x .5 inches) in any way that has to do with dessert, and fill it full of tiny dessert-themed items. You can include cute kawaii-style food goodies, but this swap is not limited to kawaii. Any dessert is fair game: cake, candy, ice cream, cupcakes, pie, fruit, milkshakes, cookies, popsicles... any dessert you can dream of! I know it can be hard to find enough items of a specific theme to completely fill a matchbox, so there can be some freedom on what you include inside the matchbox. If some things simply follow a candy-coated color theme, that is fine by me. Just think delicious and cute! If you want to create your matchbox from scratch, I have two free downloadable PDF templates that you can use here and here. You can also view lots of examples of matchboxes on my Flickr Swap-bot set. For this swap you only have one partner and you have plenty of time to create your matchbox and get it mailed. The swap is international and all participants must have over a 4.8 rating with a strong swap record. I will remove questionable people. I angel my matchbox swaps, but I strongly suggest not flaking on my swap!! Happy cute swapping everyone! xoxo

I love this ideia!!!!!! I really love cute dessert such as cup cakes ^^ unfortunately I will be away on vacation during July =) I hope you can do a second version of this one cause I would love to join then =)

absolutely! you can create anything you want to put in the matchbox or decorate the outside.

Also, I plan to host a group version on this swap in my group, "matchboxes are the best" in the near future... I might do another public version, too.

I'm a newbie, no swaps yet, but I have my cute little cupcake matchbox all done and ready to mail. I can wait, if I'm too new, but I was excited to start and have lots of cupcakes cuties. Laura

Hey, I'm from Australia and our standard matchbox size is 45 count. From the pics i'd say they're about the same size just very, very slightly bigger. Is this ok? Btw, AWESOME idea :)

Hi I've just joined this swap but I am a newbie, you can remove me from it if you like however I'd just like to say just how much I would LOVE to be a part of this swap, and on my profile there is also a link to my ebay account with feedback on there.

Also, I'm smart enough to realise that if I DID flake on this swap, as you are a paid admin of swap-bot, you probably have the power to block me and my address into oblivion from ever taking part in any swaps ever again! ;)

Today is the lsat day to mail this swap! There are a few people who have not sent and I am hoping that they will... (I am going to take strong action against anyone who flakes on this swap, so keep that in mind.) I do angel my swaps, so let me know in a few weeks if you have not received a matchbox.
