Description:
This is a simple swap for any photographers who are also fans of ATCs. The ATCs can be a plain photograph, or you can use other media in addition to the photography. The photograph is completely open; people, places, animals, plants, buildings, scenery...anything. The text on the reverse can be descriptive, poetic, biographical, historical...anything you like. There will be 2 partners, to whom you will send at least 1 ATC, for a total of 2 ATCs. Feel free to send more than one ATC, if the inspiration strikes. This swap is open to everyone including newbies, and to those with low ratings, as long as you have at least three ratings of 5...this will be a chance to increase your overall rating. This will be international, and hopefully we'll have lots of participants, so you can get some interesting ATCs from around the world. Any questions or suggestions, comment or PM me.

I have waiting for an atc swap that involved photos.

Can this be a photo taken on a digital camera and printed at home? If so, does it have to be printed on shiny photo print paper, or would good quality ordinary printer paper be OK ( mounted onto the appropriate thickness of card for an atc, obviously?)

I think anything goes. If you want to print your own (which is what I had in mind) that's great. You could also print the photo onto iron-on paper and adhere to fabric and create your ATC from the fabric. Anyway that you can have a photographic image on the ATC is fine.

Can you clarify what you mean by "The text on the reverse...."? Usually I just put the title, date, number, my name & contact info, etc...

Does it have to be a photograph you took yourself or can it be one that you just like?

If you want to put more information about the pic (ie. what it is, why you like it, etc) that can go on the reverse.

You can use your own photo, or from somewhere else, as long as its copyright free...not that we're making money here, but as a courtesy. And you can use the photo on its own, or you can incorporate the photo into a multimedia piece, or embroider on it, whatever you like, as long as a photo is in the piece somehow.

Can you give me a little more info on what an ATC is? Artist Trading Card I think, but how big does it have to be and are there any other specifications?? Thanks!

Sorry that it took me an extra day to assign partners; a family friend died early on Thursday and we had an out-of-town funeral to go to early Saturday.
