Just Because I LOVE Postcards Swap!

I LOVE POSTCARDS!!! :)

OKAY, I probably should not sign up for this since I'm already in several other swaps....but I LOVE POSTCARDS.... just can't ever throw one away. This week I was going through old pics and things and one thing I noticed was how many old postcards I have....gonna make an album just for my postcards! I'm signing up!

i am keeping postcards in those photo boxes you can get at art-supply stores for about $3.

I've got postcards from my travels around the world that I bought but was too busy having fun to write/mail. So I'll look forward to sharing these with you!

I'm a bit of a newbie so just wanted to clarify:

• do we send the postcards as is, or in envelopes??
• are vintage postcards ok to send?? (am asking because I LOVE vintage postcards and so obviously would be very happy receiving them!!).

girlabouttown you can send any type/style of postcard you like. You Choose! I intend to write on my pc and send it that way. If you are afraid to ruin a vintage one, go ahead and put it in an envelope! You Choose! Hope that helps. Happy Swapping! :)

I had decided to start limiting my swap because fulfilling them has become the center of my life! BUT, I could not resist this one. Quick and easy and a way to share some of these terrific ones I've collected over the years during my travels compliments of the USAF and the spouse that wanted me along!

As for albums, I have found the ones that hold 5x7 pictures are the best for this. Easy to slip the postcard out if you want to take a look at the back. The 4x6 albums are not quite large enough to hold many of the cards swappers send.

She is in Europe, and some European countries use different symbols for addresses. We don't have to "understand" an address to be able to write it on a postcard. It will get to Kasha if you copy it verbatim!

Isn't it against netiquette to post someone's full name publicly when they go by a nickname, because they might not want people to be able to find it in a search engine? I don't mind, but I know other forums where it's a serious issue.

Mine hit the Post Office yesterday.

A number of the 1's/3's/complaints I have gotten are that my post office apparently is slow or prone to losing postcards- please PM/Email me before panicing. I can always resend a postcard with no big drama... just... no more drama over them being 'late' or not arriving, OK?

They're in the mail NOW! Let me know if they don't arrive, and we can FIX it, instead of harbouring problems around it, OK?

Also, my forgiveness to those who recieve the 'naked mole rat' cards. Hint: NEVER let a 9 year old help you pick out postcards. ;)

...snorting at Clayshaper's naked mole rat postcards...my step-daughter just bought a booger/worm themed birthday card for a b-day party she's attending this afternoon for a 9-y.o. boy. They have pin-pointed that booger, worm, fart and naked mole rat demographic. Marketing genius, I tell you.

anyway...erg--last week I put all these filled-out-'n'-stamped postcards, along with two other postcard swap batches, in my glove compartment...and of course, promptly forgot about 'em until I opened it today to get a tissue! Gah. So they're all going out now!

I am such an out of sight/out of mind person...probably a little heavier on the latter...heh heh.
