EVERYONE'S AN ARTIST, BABY! ATC Swap

I have moved up the last day to sign-up/drop-out date to June 19, so I can check profiles and assign partners before I leave for holidays. I may be able to check in from time to time while on holidays but will be back a few days before the final send by date. I am hoping if you have any questions while I'm gone, you can help each other out. :)

And of course, if you can not send to your partners for any reason (I don't care why), let me know and I will make other arrangements. I don't want any disappointed swappers here!

I'm really excited about this, I have never tried doing ATC's before. But have received a few in swaps and think they are pretty cool. Great, another new craft/project for me!!!!! I will take any and all pointers for beginners. Thanks

Hi everyone! Swap partners have been assigned. all participants have 5 or very close ratings so I don't anticipate any problems.

It would be great if everyone (who can) puts up pics of their cards in the swap gallery. I know I will, and I always appreciate a comment of encouragement or constructive criticism to help me improve my creativity (just be kind, please!)

I will try to check in from time to time but I can't promise as I don't know if I can access a computer while on holidays (I can feel a twitch coming on - anxiety about computer withdrawl!).

Be good to yourselves and I'll be back in a couple of weeks.

I received three wonderful cards from Lola Lane today. On two of the cards she used red foil against the black/white or sepia backgrounds. It really pops!!

I'm shamelessly stealing that technique, by the way...

I received three wonderful cards from Reb today. She used a gold leafing pen to create lines/shapes, then that ink acted as a resist for other colors washed on top. These backgrounds are gorgeous, and the images she layered atop are very nice. I'm never parting with the "Queen of the Night" card - ever! It's fabulous!

Carmen, I am glad you liked the cards. I learned about the leafing pens in a technique swap on Swap-Bot. The technique is in the "Artist Trading Card Workshop" by Bernie Berlin. Wal Mart sells the pens and they are a lot of fun. Thanks for swapping!!!

Hello all!! I am so very sorry that I have not yet got my atc's out I had a family emergancy which took me out of the state and when I got back I haad to got to work for a few days then I really badly hurt my wrist and arm So it has been a month and some of hell. So please forgive me But I WILL BE SENDING OUT YOUR ATC"S AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! Thanks you!!! Your fellow swapper Robin Ascher P.S. I am very very sorry I really had no way of getting aholdd of anyone and I had no matterails I love swapping and I was very upset that I could not get them out that is why I am working on all my swaps very hard and will have them out in the next week or so.
