Description:

Take one sheet of A4 (/letter-size) paper, fold it, make a cut – et voila! You have created a mini-zine! Now fill it with something crafty – maybe it will be a project, maybe it will be pics of stuff you've made with notes on how you made them, maybe it will just be a story about some of the things you have learned through your crafting experiences. Whatever kind of craftiness speaks to you – share!

Click here for a tutorial on making this basic zine. Then it's up to you whether you hand-write (then photocopy), or type & print your mini-masterpiece. The format is small, but the creative possibilities are as big as your imagination!

(I've called it Mini Zine of Craftiness # 1 as I'm planning to run it regularly - probably approx. every 3 months. Just in case you feel like creating a series, or something ;-)

This is a group swap for members of Zines, Mail Art & other cool stuff. I've checked people's ratings as they've joined the group, but I will check through again before partners are assigned, to do my best to avoid disappointment in this swap. Please only sign up if you have both the time & inclination to complete the swap!

Hi there, is it possible to sent copies of a zine you made for another swap (if the theme fits, of course) or has the zine you sent to be brandnew and designed especially for this swap?

So long as the theme fits, it's fine by me, if it's one you've already made :-).

I'm watching for now, but am a real newbie when it comes to zines and I like to make them low-tech (my drawing is not very professional)...would that be all right with you guys? I have an idea for a project I can share...

Believe me, drawing is not high in my skill-base, either - take a look at this PDF I just added to my website on how to make a mini-zine, & you will see just how low-tech my diagrams are! It's all about the ideas, and sharing them, so please do join in :-).

Rats! I can't join this time:( but definitely would like to do the next one. Anyway you'll be doing another before Dec:)

OK, I can play if it's OK to use a zine that's a little bigger? I made one out of a larger sheet (11" x 17") folds down to 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

I made them for my nieces and nephews for our "craft" time while camping this summer. If it's OK to use a larger zine, I'll sign up today:) thanks.
