Description:

Ok ladies, what Queen doesn't need a crown? We deserve it!! If not for our own pleasure then to remind others we are strong women that deserve the best in life. The idea is to spoil your partner by making her a great crown. Pre-made crowns/tiaras can be found in the birthday party section at stores like Wal-Mart or in most toy aisles at your local dollar store. (my local Wal0Mart sells them for $1.00 each) Grab a crown and start adding on the glitz and glam. Some ideas could include charms, glitter, beads, ribbons etc. Feel free to make your partner a wand or any other queen-like accessory you'd like but it is not a necessary part of the swap.

No flakers permitted. This swap is to build each other up and show support to your fellow crafty queens...let's not leave anyone hanging without a proper crown. Don't make me trade my crown for horns :-D

Email me for questions, ideas etc. or post in the comments. I will check daily.

Enjoy!!

Watching! This should be fun, but I want to make sure I have time to do it justice. :)

This does sound fun. Are the crowns flat when you mail them or three-dimensional? I have never looked for them before so I will have to go investigate. On my watchlist for now!

@boupie - they are not flat, can be but I think this swap calls for a 3 dimensional one. They would need to go in a box when sending as it won't fit in an envy! heres some example of tiaras and crowns at Party City. You can always alter it up and bling it on!

I just seen the cutest one at a baby shower that started as a foam crown. It was decorated so cute for the QUEEN MAMA! I loved it! this sounds like fun, I'd wear it around the house to remind them who I am.

I was in a few crown swaps last year where we mad our crowns from scratch....quite fun...

I signed up for this swap but have been thinking about hosting another heavy cardstock crown swap.

has anyone seen the book "Crowns and Tiaras" by Kerri Jud ? It is packed with lots of how-to's and inspiration.
