Description:

My favorite kitchen towels are those that my grandmothers gave me, all hand-embroidered floursack towels that are whimsical and very useful! I've recently taken up embroidery, so a great way to practice this new craft is to embroider towels.

This swap is for 1 kitchen towel (floursack/tea towel) embroidered by you for 1 swap partner. I'm going to leave a considerable amount of time between the sign-up deadline and the sending deadline, so that people can choose what they embroider on what their partner's interests are. Feel free to comment below to mention what your kitchen colors or themes are.

For swappers with a rating of at least 4.5; newbies- contact me and leave me a message, I'm limiting the number of new/unrated swappers to sign up (up to 3), so you must contact me first!

U.S. only

I would like an international also :( i am in Portugal, I understand that shipping is higher but a tea towel is not very heavy...

Oh, I have received napkins in a swap from Filoselle. Just amazing! Any swap with her is worth taking a risk on postage! (sending hugs and still admiring her work)

I don't have a kitchen theme/color seeing as how I don't have a kitchen (I live in a dorm at school) but I love anything handmade, and this will give me a chance to make something and give it to someone! I feel bad when I make something and then it just sits around not getting used.

Oh! I suppose as the host of this swap, I should at least comment with my colors/theme!

I have a coffee themed kitchen with accents in maroon/deep red.

I don't have a "theme" for my kitchen. But the colors are choclate brown, and all shades of blue. I like all colors so don't feel that you have to stay in the color scheme.

have fun!

kesathegeek,

Your towel will be in the mail tomorrow! I managed to master french knots through working on this project! Yay! I used to know how when I was 6 yrs. old, but completely lost the knack until today.

Hope you like it! I incorporated blue, green, and one of the things you wrote in your profile that you liked.
