Altered Re-Usable Bag Challenge

For this swap you are required to buy one new re-usable bag and alter it for your partner.
As this is a group swap it would be preferable if you could get your bag from your local $1 store. You can get one from another store if they don't have them, but don't spend too much.

The bag can be a grocery type bag or tote bag but should be big enough to fit an A4 piece of paper in it.

You can alter the bag any way you like. Please be mindful that the bag should be functional as well as a creative project. Please try to make your alterations durable.

You could use paint, ribbons, applique, embroidery, stamping, buttons, embellishments, charms, fabric flowers, beads or any combination your mind can imagine.

You have 4 weeks to complete this swap so please put your heart into it.

If you are stuck for ideas have a look at your swap-partner's profile.

So in point form:

• Join this swap

• Buy a reusable bag from a $1 store that is A4 size or bigger (You can buy from another store)

• Look at your partner's profile for inspiration

• Take the time to alter it in a creative way (that doesn't stop it functioning as a bag).

• Send it to your swap partner

• Rate your bag when you receive it

• Use and enjoy your bag

I will be checking profiles before assigning partners. Having a filled out profile will help your swap partner so please do this if you haven't already done so.

If you have questionable ratings without a good reason I will contact you or ban you. (Not that we would keep such people in our group). This to ensure we all receive something truly wonderful.

I will not tell you when to give hearts or to send extras. I would prefer you put your effort into the bag. You can of course give extras at your own discretion. (My own philosophy is on my profile).

This is an international swap so please be mindful that you may be required to post things overseas.

I do not know of anyone who has already done this swap, my apologies for lack of credit and congratulations for being creative if they have. I am happy for anyone to do another version of this swap anywhere anytime. I would love to know about it so I can join in.
