Description:

I have not been to a thrift shop in awhile and thought that it would be fun to do a little profile based swap with items you get at a thrift store.

The point is two-fold. 1) to get your thriftshop "fix" ,while 2) getting your partner something that they would enjoy- based on their profile.

I won't put a price tag on this swap- but should fill a small flat rate box or small flat envelope- $4.95 (be careful about the envelope- I was told that if it bulges too much- or you "alter" the shape by filling it too bulky- they could return)

Have fun!

This will be US only to avoid high postage fees.

I cannot commit to angeling the swap so I will be checking profiles and reserve the right to ban someone from the swap if I feel necessary.

Love the idea!

Great idea! Do we have to use the flat rate box or envelope, or just make sure it's that size at least?

The last time I had a pretty bulky flat rate envelope I was told it should not be packed more than 2 inches thick for the flat rate.

I'm also interested in what craftygirl asks, because sometimes items are light so it would be more expensive to send Priority Mail.

There is a flat rate box for $4.95. If you have mastered the art of cram and jam you can get a lot into it. All flat rate boxes can weigh up to 70lbs. I hope it helps.

You don't have to use the flat rate box or envelope as long as its approx the same size.

I hope the watchers will join- this will be a fun Swap!

Three more days until partners assigned. Yay~

I do hope you host this swap again. I've had it on my watchlist, but I'll be away for a good part of that week, so wouldn't have enough time.

I will assign partners tonight around 8pm to give anybody who is watching time to sign up if they want to.

If all goes well I will host another one of these swaps- perhaps something for Thanksgiving and something again for Christmas.

I don't think the small 4.95 box can be up to 70 lbs. I thought it had a max of 4 lbs. Check with your PO, just to be sure.

International has a limit of 4 lbs. on the flat rate boxes.
