Description:

For this swap, you will make 3 harvest-themed "Nice & Neat" Friendship Books for anyone you choose, and send all 3 to your partner.

A Friendship Book is a small booklet made by one pen pal for another. An "FB" should be able to fit in a letter envelope, so they are usually not bigger than a note card, and often are smaller. It is created by stapling a few sheets of paper together and then decorating the cover. Once the booklet is put together, the maker of the "FB" passes it on to a pen pal, who will add her information (name, address, any hobbies, whether or not she's looking for additional swappers or pen pals, interests, etc..) and then pass it on to another pen pal. This continues until the booklet is full. The last person to sign the book sends it to the person that the book was made for. If, at any time while the FB is being passed along, a signer sees someone that she's interested in writing to, she simply sends the person an introduction letter, and the two can become friends.

A "Nice & Neat" FB is created the same way, but the decorated covers should include several elements and be more creative than simply one sticker or magazine cut out. Typically, they are rather artsy. The cover is a wrap-around cover, much like a note card. Staples should not be showing on the cover. Generally, Nice and Neat FBs are protected with clear plastic or tape.

If you have any questions about how these booklets should be made, please check before signing up. The turn-around time on this swap is pretty quick, so you may start making the FBs any time and be ready to have them in the mail when partners are assigned.

Thanks for signing up!

Do you accept newbies to this swap?

Thanks for checking out the swap! Newbies are welcome (everyone's got to start somewhere!). Thank you for translating "harvest"! The FBs you make for this swap should have a harvest theme, meaning the cover should be autumn colors, reflect the end of a growing season, bountiful farms and fruitful yields.
