Description:

This one is for the darker side of us all.

Headstones and old churches are art in their own right and I think they should be celebrated. In this swap you will have 3 partners to send 1 ATC to (3x1= 3 total ATCs). It can be of old headstones, gargoyles, anything that you consider gothic architecture. Please make sure it fits in the normal ATC requirements 2.5" x 3.5'"

Newbies are welcome but MUST have full profiles AND MESSAGE ME FIRST. If I don't think you're real you will be banned from this swap to make is fair for people really interested.

This is international since the packages shouldn't cost too much even if you totally go for hearts :D

I just finished printing out the pics I took for this last weekend. I'm really happy with how they turned out. How's everyone else doing?

I went out and took some photos today but I'm not sure how I feel about them. I'll probably go take more!

Did anyone else feel like they were going to be chased out of a cemetary for taking pics? Just me.

i have been hanging out in cemetaries so long that i never feel like i am going to be chased out and i must say i never have been and this is going back to when i was a teenager. just last week went to bonaventure cemetary in savannah, oh my gosh, could have spent two days, unfortunately i only had an hour (we were on our way to orlando.) i have some fantastic pictures to share!!

Belle~ It sounds like you know what you're doing. You're pics should be super! I just finished mine. Can't wait to see what everyone does with this one.

Mine are packaged up and ready to go out in tomorrow's mail. I enjoyed this swap--how often does one get to meet up with other folks who enjoy taking photos in cemeteries? Thanks for hosting, Vivica9!

does it have to be from a cemetary? I have great shots of the architecture in Glastonbury Abbey?

I think any kind of gothic architecture is fine as per the swap description! I wish I lived someplace where there was more to choose from, but alas - the California coast doesn't really offer a lot.

vivica9 07/12/2007 #

Yes, ANY kind of architecture is fine as long as it's gothic. Even some business buildings can be gothic in nature. I just posted some ideas as to where you can usually find that kind of thing.

I'm so glad that you guys are all having a good time with is topic. As always, let me know if there's anything that I can help with.

And mine are off!!!

I sent mine today....on the deadline, of course. sigh. For the international, especially Kes in England, I hope the mail isn't delayed by the strikes. Jessie Mae
