Description:

For this swap you will use three brown paper bags (equaling 9 decorated pages plus the front and back). I typically leave the back plain as it isn't seen usually and makes it easier for storage. Then you bind them together with either brads, ribbons, or similiar. Each page should have a Christmas theme and cover most of the page so that not much paper bag is showing. You can make pockets, use tags, and so on for your partner to place photos to it. Things to use can be as simple as scraps from your craft basket, room, or box. Some ideas are:

ribbons, brads, eyelets, stickers, embellies, stamping, embossing, punches, and so on.

All are welcome; however, if you have a one or no sends, it will be a case by case review.

Happy swapping.

What type of bags? Lunch or grocery bags?

For this swap, are participants making a decorated album with BLANK places for the recipient's photos? Or a filled in decorated photo album of themselves and their family? This sounds like an interesting swap, but I'm a little confused as to the requirements. And 3 bags folded in half = about 6 pages, is that right? Thx!

I would imagine its approx 6 x 6 sized and decorated with papers and mats, tags etc but left blank for the recipient to add their own personal touches. It sounds like an interesting swap but but there is a lack of hostess interaction here so maybe I will watch for awhile and see how it goes.

You can use a few brown lunch bags or even the white ones. I did see a few done in green but they didn't come out too well.

Also, this will be an album for the person you send to place his/her own photos in. This way they can either keep it or fill it up and send it to a family member as a gift. Also, you take three bags and set them together, making it 9 pages to decorated and the front cover. I never decorate the back as it makes it too busy. Then you can leave the openings for tags or some themed item (your choice).

I apologize everyone for the lack hostess interaction - I had a very bad cold bug and was bed ridden for couple of days. I am back and thriving. Hope you all can join.

Thank you for starting this one up. It really sounds like fun. I remember the last one you had in the beginning of the year! What a great album I got from that one. Hope I am as lucky again this go around. Hope to see more participants - those on the watch list, you should sign up - this is really fun!
