Description:

This swap is mainly for our newbies that have never created an ATC (Artist Trading Card) before.

Old-Timers are more than welcome to join on in, but remember, some of the swappers will be new to this.

YOUR THEME: "What A Girl Likes" (can be drawn, painted, collaged or whatever. Use your imagination in showing your partner what a girl likes.). SENDERS CHOICE ON COLOR

Here are the basic rules of building an ATC:

  • Size must be 3.5 x 2.5 (or vice versa)

  • Must have a sturdy back (add to the back a piece of a cereal box ( works great) or cardstock cut to same size. Use glue or double-side tape to join the pieces together in order to make it sturdy.)

  • Do not just slap stickers on a card and call it done. Please show some effort. If you use stickers, please build up from there.

This isn't required but helps the recipient know who made the card so on back you should include at least the following:

*Swap Title

*Date the card was made

*Number of your card - Some number their cards consecutive. I don't (I lost count long ago) and some number their cards as they make them based on the swap title. Ex. - 1 of 1 or whatever applicable if a series (i.e. card 4 of 8, etc...)

*Contact email or Signature

*Title of the Art Work

Just like it says - this is "A Mini Piece of Art".

Check out Go Make Something.com for lots of ideas and more instructions.

You will make 1 ATC for 1 Partner. Start now as it's senders choice on color. That way you can put it in the mail when partners are assigned.

You will be removed from the swap if you have not signed into Swap-Bot at least 2 days before I am to assign partners for this swap. We want to ensure everyone gets a card.

I will Angel for those that do not receive any thing after 15 days from the sendby date and after you have rated your partner a rating of 1 for not sending. All Non-Senders will be flogged at DUNCE CORNER (you really don't want that).

DO NOT REGIFT (sending the work of another and calling it your own). This should be your own work of art.

Please do not join the swap if you can not follow through. This is such a simple swap and you have plenty of time to get it going and done, so excuses are usually no excuse. So with that said, always remember that communication is critical; communicate with your partner so that they are aware of your situation.

Does anyone know a good website where I can convert what the required measurements are (I'm assuming they are in inches) to Centimetres?

Airine 11/27/2009 #

I use Convertworld and it really is easy.

The ATC measurements in cms are 8.89 X 6.35

Thankyou so much for that :) I've never made an ATC before.
