I came upon this idea when I received some really cool white yarn with little things sticking out all over it in a yarn swap and thought … how cool will this yarn be as the trim on a Christmas stocking?

I just love Christmas and put up a couple of trees and start decorating in November. Some ornaments I even leave up all year. I have a tree full of handmade items from over the years, and also like ornaments that are "untraditional" in color.

Anyhow….I thought we could do different colors over the next few months and have a nice variety for decorating by December.

This month will be PURPLE. You can use other colors in your ornament, but the main color should be PURPLE.

You will have TWO partners and make them ONE ornament each.

The ornaments MUST be handmade. They can be painted, cross-stitched, crocheted, knitted, plastic canvas, wood, clay or whatever craft you do. Please send an ornament that you would be proud to hang on your own tree. You'll have 2 weeks once names are assigned to complete and mail your creation.

Rules: We all hate rules, but we need some to keep things in order. :)

Rating must be 4.7 or above with no no-send 1 ratings in the last 6 months.

You must have at least 3 rated swaps that have been sent through the mail. Electronic, online, email, etc. swaps will not count.

You must not have any swaps outstanding that are past the due date by a week or more.

I will check the above after the sign up has closed and will ban, if need be, before the swap partner assignments.

If you have any concerns with anyone who has joined, please let me know.

Please rate your partner when you receive your ornament. If you receive your ornament in the correct color of this swap, then the requirements have been fulfilled.
