Limerick Postcard Swap

Since the limerick has ties to Ireland, I thought it would be suiting to swap these in March in relation to Saint Patrick's Day.

What is a "limerick," you ask? According to Webster's Dictionary, the official definition is:

lim·er·ick Function: noun Etymology: Limerick, Ireland Date: 1896 : a light or humorous verse form of five chiefly anapestic verses of which lines 1, 2, and 5 are of three feet and lines 3 and 4 are of two feet with a rhyme scheme of aabba

• Participants will either create or purchase 2 postcards for this swap, measuring around 4" x 6", the common postcard size -- and mail 1 postcard naked (without an envelope) to each of 2 recipients.

• Each postcard should include a limerick that is either original or one you wrote yourself. If you are writing your own, please follow the typical format and rhyming scheme for this type of short poem.

• The limerick can be part of the front of the postcard, for example if it is a handcrafted card, you can incorporate the limerick on the front. Otherwise, clearly write the limerick on the back of the postcard.

• Please be sure to include your username and the name of the swap so that you may be properly rated.

This swap is international and is open to new swappers with at least 5 completed flat mail swaps. I will review profiles before assigning swap partners, and you may be banned if your profile is incomplete and/or includes recent low ratings.
