Just to be sure, when you say "long business size envelope" do you mean the ones that are about 4 inches by 9.5 inches? (Like one a regular sheet of 8.5 x 11inch paper tri-folded would fit in?) Or one that a regular sheet of of 8.5 x 11 inch paper fits in unfolded?

After the signup deadline Swap-Bot assigns partners and you should get an email saying you can view your partner. Then you click into this swap on your dashboard and under swap member options there will be an option to see the partner you send to and it will give you their address. Hope this helps.

@candyn29 I EXPECT everyone to send their envelope and send it on time! I will tell everyone I can and post it about any Flaker in any of my swaps. Please send your swap and send it On Time. If there is a need for angels, I would try to find them. If you would like to volunteer to angel this swap if we should need it-please PM me. But again, I am hoping not to need it.

Just in case the newbies do not understand what you guys are talking about angling. That is when someone else sends what would have been your partner the swap because there partner did not. Having someone flacked on is a very upsetting thing. You get your envelope together and mailed off and you are excited to get something in return. Just please be positive you want to do this and you will do it because if you don't that is just mean spirited. Lets keep this swap flaker free!!!!!

My envelope is getting very fat and sassy! This swap has made me dig through all my bits and pieces and I've found quite a few goodies that I forgot that I had. That's a good thing, right? :P What a day-brightener this will be!

To all of those who asked when we get partners: They are assigned after the "last day to signup", which is today. So we should be getting them at midnight tonight or tomorrow sometime. :)

To those who have already packed their envelopes: ???? I don't understand? How can you tailor your envelope to your partner if you don't know who your partner is yet? :( I hope if any of you get me, that you read my profile as I have allergies and am vegan, and would be sad to receive something I'm allergic to or morally opposed to.

Just a thought to share: I am hosting another envelope swap (for kids) and we are using the catalog envelopes (6-in x 9-in) because they are sturdier than regular business envelopes. I know they are bigger but you don't have to stuff them. Just put in it what you would a business size and send. It will just travel better without tearing, I think. Just an idea. =) Looking forward to getting my partner.

I'm one of those who has started filling their envelope early. I've gathered several items for the upcoming holidays and have several generic items such as wonder under, fimo, embroidery scissors and embroidery threads and ribbons/buttons/stickers of all sorts of textures and colors. Is this not allowed? I guess I misunderstood the directions. Also, I never send any types of foodstuff or scented items of any kind. Sorry if I offended anyone. Patti

A FAT envelope was mailed out to my partner today -- as well as a flat envelope containing one of the pieces that I forgot to put in the main envelope before sealing it up! :)

How big is everyone's envelopes? I am thinking a 8x10 manila?

Of course people could have been getting the envies ready early. It says in the swap description that this is SENDERS CHOICE. Obviously it is polite to look at a profile to see what people like/dislike but it's not a requirement. I hope nobody is going to be getting a 3 because they didn't customize the contents of their envies.
