Button Fairy Lovers this is for you! Our first series! We are going to go all out!!!! BLACK Each month we will be creating one BEAUTIFUL button fairy created in a SINGLE COLOR THEME. Each month will feature a different color. Create your button fairy to dazzle your partner! Think embellishments! Think rhinestones, glitter, lace, fancy buttons, feathers, the little things will make all the difference here. You decide how much or how little glam your fairy will have, just make sure your bf is an eye catcher! Your button fairy must follow the color theme for the month. Your fairy must also have wings, a button tail, and a hanger. The face of your fairy can be any face you choose for her to have. It is ok to incorporate small amounts of other colors as long as the color theme is EXTREMELY obvious. Most important! This is art. Have fun! If you love it your partner will love it. Each of us has different skill levels. Do your personal best and get excited about button fairies! :0) Signup deadline will be the first of each month. We will have 2 weeks to create and send. Because this is a group swap everyone is welcome! Our first monthâ€™s color theme is BLACK! (Planning ahead? Next color theme will be TOURQUOISE.)

What color would you like to do after tourquoise? Post your vote here and at the signup deadline I will put the colors in a hat and choose one! You can vote for more then one color but each person can only vote for each color one time. Let's say for example purple gets 4 votes I will put purple in the hat 4 times. So Button Fairy Lovers, what is it going to be?

I really like white--especially during the snowy months. Also, since there are LOTS of buttons that come in silver and gold, maybe one of those two metallic colors would be nice--especially with sequins and glitter coming in those colors as well.

Tarabell or Krissy...would it be possible to sort of map out the colors for the next few months? or the year? It would be GREAT to know ahead and be on the lookout for cool buttons and images for the monthly color. I know turquoise is next, and then white+gold?, and then what? I know if I wait 'til the last minute for things, I sometimes don't find what I really want and just end up getting whatever is available. ALSO, is anybody interested in private swapping button fairies? They are so much fun to make--I'm really hooked. I also like to get fresh ideas! Thanks so much.

I know I keep adding comments here--feel free to tell me to shut up any time. I watched the figure skating special exhibition that was on a few days ago and do you know who would make a FANTASTIC button fairy? JOHNNY WEIR!!!!!!!!! Yes, oh yes, when he skated to Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face,' I thought, 'BUTTON FAIRY' through and through. What about your favorite Olympian button fairy? Just a suggestion!!

More chatter from me: Today I went to Hobby Lobby and Wal-Mart AND Michaels in search of the elusive turquoise button to no avail. Is anyone else having trouble finding turquoise buttons or have you begun to look? Is ebay a good source? I LOVE turquoise so I'm excited for the swap but need some suggestions for finding turquoise buttons. thank you muchly.

OK....just a quick note to let everyone know that all buttons are 50% off this week at Joann crafts....I stopped today and FINALLY got turquoise buttons....yip yip yahooey!

I also went to Joanns today @Isabellasnow and bought some. Still spendy but it is better buying them on sale for half off than at regular price! I would have to think about my favorite Olympian BF. I will always be a fan of Nancy Kerrigan although she is not as huge anymore. :o) Oh, your chatter on here is just fine!
