Description:

I was called a Drama Queen ( in jest ) today and was more or less challenged to do this swap.

Have you ever been banned from a swap for no apparent reason to you or your peers?

Do you like to collect unique paper goods the likes of which no one has ever seen?

Do you like

  • vintage paper

  • tags

  • handmade journals,note cards,postcards

  • paper ephemera

  • odds and sods that define paper in its most extreme ( ? )

Do you have a bit of Drama Queen in you?

Then by all means join my swap ~ please.

Send your partner ~ you will have 1 ~ a paper craft envelope ( Size 16 x 24 cm ) (6" X 9")stuffed to the brim with all things paper. This is all stuff you should have in your stash so I wont put a price limit on it. Just send something you'd love to get yourself.

 I do have limitations:
  • ratings must be above 5 ( kidding)

  • you must have no no sends with in the last 3 months and a fully completed profile

  • newbies must have a fully completed profile and a link to a site for reference ( ie flickr)

Thats it ~ I will be watching so take care.

Please be gentle ~ this is my first ever co-ordination of a swap!!!!!

Shows her drama-queen-ness by throwing her hand across her forehead as she says;

"I DO hope more people will sign up for this one, or I will simply DIE!!! Dying... dying..." gasps for breath

"Oh, dark cruel world... please sign up for this swap or I cannot go on..."

;oP

Ok here I am do I get to stay?? or must I take to my couch with the vapors?

I do so love papers and have some wonderful ones to share. I just love paper swaps!!! thanks for doing this swap.

Great idea for a swap, but you don't say how much paper, or how big the pieces must be. Should we be thinking a small baggie of ATC-sized paper scraps or 50 A4/letter size sheets, or where between those extremes? If I have enough paper to send, I'll join .. .and I do have some great papers ...

OK, I had to check this out because on the listing of new swaps it says: "THE DRAMA QUEEN UNIQUE PAP..."!! LOL! I was momentarily taken to fits of extreme laughter!! :D But then figured you really weren't swapping PAPS!

I would join your swap because from experience you are a FANTASTIC swapper!

But if I get more paper I might kill myself. x_x

I edited the bit about how much to send ~ any other dramatic ideas for this swap ~ before i take to my fainting couch. I did have a great graphic for this but i guess it was too big cuz it doesn't show.

dulcimer, I don't really do paper, but I sure do wish you all the best as a virgin host!

squintgrad 07/ 9/2007 #

dulcimer,

you've never hosted??? Since I have been here (I think it was April) I've seen you in many swaps and many discussions. I guess I just figured that you were a host too.

In any case, I'm in!

shaynafay 07/ 9/2007 #

I saw you in the forums and couldn't resist. I'm guessing the size is anything we can fit in the envi, even if we have to fold it? I'm biting my nails in anticipation!

dulcimer 07/ 9/2007 #

Yes what ever will fit thats what you send

Is this international? Only I get the impression most swappers are in the States and I'm not!

bluecrayons 07/18/2007 #

i have a very silly question but what IS paper ephemera?

dulcimer 07/19/2007 #

I consider labels and vintage advertising to be paper ephemera ~ among other things

bluecrayons 07/29/2007 #

emmajg --your paper is on its way to the UK from florida USA

Rillaith 08/ 9/2007 #

Connie, your rather large package is heading to the post office now! Hope you like it :)

Just a heads-up though, this morning's free paper said that the post office strikes are going to be 24 hours at the airports, and also some of the sorting offices, which means that airmail's going to be affected today/for the next while. Dammit :(

Rillaith 08/ 9/2007 #

Ouchie, postage was too costly to send airmail :( ... Connie, I hope you want wait patiently, and that the package when it arrives is worth making you wait for it, but I had to send surface mail. wince It's surprising how heavy light stuff like paper can weigh!!

ae4me 08/16/2007 #

Wow! The package I received already being sent surface and getting to me in a week 8/9/07-8/15/07! And the package is so packed full of really neat treasures!!! Rillaith Thank-you so very much!

Rillaith 09/14/2007 #

OoooooooOOOOoooh I had a parcel of goodies arrive today (along with another one - also sent surface, also from the same town the same week - what're the odds?!)

Thank you, Dulcimer, for the lovely package of paper goodies and gorgeous yarns, which were worth the wait (and the weight >giggle<) - how can paper end up weighing so much? ;) Very much appreciated, and will get plenty of use!
