What exactly is a whimsy jar? Just a pretty jar to put things in?? Like, my mom decorated a jar with London landmarks for me to save money for a vacation to London. Is that a whimsy jar?

I took this definition from the Swap-bot glossary :). Whimsey Jar – A small decorated jar filled with fun, random objects. Often decorated around a specific theme and filled with items that match that theme. Recycled baby food jars or other small food jars are often used to create whimsey jars. (after being cleaned!)

In this swap we will be using 8 oz. jars, not baby food jars.

Both literal rainbow and colors of the rainbow items. As long as the colors of the rainbow items are in the order of the colors of the rainbow.

what is a type 3 swap?

Type 1: Electronic - internet-based swaps, email, messages, links, digital photography, etc.

Type 2: Flat mail - postcards, letters, mail swaps with little, to no, craft component.

Type 3: Crafts & Packages - any time-intensive craft swaps, any swaps sent in packages, most swaps will fall in this category.

I hope you do another one of these! I love rainbows, but I haven't done very many swaps. =(
