Description:

Water Wheel Variation Block Pattern

You will make one block and have one partner.

It is senders choice for the colors. Make sure you use contrasting colors. Like dark blue and white or light pink and dark red. Please no NOVELTY fabrics. Novelties are Easter prints, kid prints, food prints, animal prints, etc. You can use floral prints and geometric prints. Just nothing that reads children blocks.

Please try your very best to use a scant 1/4 inch seam allowance when constructing your blocks. The finished block should measure 12 1/2 inches when it is complete.

To make it easier for newbies, after you cut out your squares use a disappearing ink marker to draw your seam allowance. Then sew just next to the line, not on top of it. This will make it easier to learn the scant seam allowance. Please pm me with any questions. You can also measure from your needle over 1/4 of an inch and use masking tape as a guide.

Newbies are welcome. Please fill out your profile. Everyone has to start some where. Experienced swapper with a 4.8 or higher may join to. I will be checking profiles. Please no recent bad ratings. You have to be 30 days free of bad ratings.

Please make a block you would like to receive. Lets keep any questionable fabric for something else. Please us color combination's that are pleasing to the eye. We want to be able to use these blocks. It is disappointing to get a block that you can't use. It will discourage people from wanting to join.

I am really excited about making this block! Any colors are good for me.

can we really choose the fabric we send for this block so we can start now or should we wait to check profiles. I saw that it said senders choice on colors but there are already requests. Just want to make sure before i commit. Thanks.

It does say sender's choice--I hesitate to join because I really only want certain colors...I already have one block I'll never use in a quilt. But, I think most people look at their partner's profile before they start to be sure they are making something that will be appreciated.

Thank you that helps answer the question I will definatly check my partners profile. I do like civil war prints and thimbleberries. any colors that are usually in these works. they do not have to be these fabric lines. just things like burgundies, creams, blues, golds, greens, purples, and browns. anything with these colors works great that way they will blend in. thanks a lot.

Thanks for answering the question for me twobluecrows. It is sender's choice so you can go ahead and make your block. Just make something you would like to receive.
