Description:

As the first round was such a success, I decided to do a next one :)

If you're like me, you like to buy all sorts of tea, because you "want to try them". But once at home, your storage room is already overflowing with packages of tea that you already got to try, but never did yet. See, I like tea, but I'm not going through 4 packages a week. Luckily I've got two boys who like it, so they help me get the stash away LOL.

So here is the swap: Send 10 tea-bags to 1 partner, no more than 2 of the same. If your partner likes loose tea, you can send this too, otherwise keep it with bags. This is sender's choice, let them surprise you! For example, I never heard of chocolate-mint tea, until I got it in a swap, and what a pleasant surprise it was.

Of course it's not forbidden to check your partner's profile (take notice of allergies!), but don't rate down because you didn't like what was sent. Just regift it than and make someone else happy!

Yes I am in again! Do hope I will receive tea from abroad this time. Last time I received tea from the Netherlands, where I live. And what are the odds for a small country like that!

IlonaH 02/25/2010 #

LOL, the odds seem to be really big again, as from the 13 that signed up already are 5 Dutchies...

MommytheMaid 02/25/2010 #

I buy most of my teas from a gourmet seller on Etsy and non of the bags are individually wrapped. Is that a problem? I would put each teabag into a small Ziploc baggie and write what it is on it, or attach a tag saying what it is and where it was from and such. If that is not okay, I understand.

Thanks!

IlonaH 02/25/2010 #

I have the same sort of issue too, as I have Lipton Pyramid bags, which is not wrapped either. But the tea is so delicious! I think it's no objection, when you pack it like you described.

kraftykj 02/26/2010 #

I have no problems with the tea being tagged with what it is...

ViolaOdorata 02/28/2010 #

I don't have any problem with self wrapped, not a tea bag collector but make it clean do drink after sending :-)

Lanie 02/28/2010 #

The celestel seasoning teas come in the brew bags only so I placed them inside tiny zip bags with what they are and didn't have any problems.

As long as they are new, clean and drinkable there should not be an issue I think.

IlonaH 02/28/2010 #

I completely agree! And speaking of Celestial Seasonings tea, if my partner has Tension Tamer (dragon tea, according to my 10-yo, for the picture on the package), please send it along! He'll love you :)

washingtonmaverick 03/ 1/2010 #

Celestial Seasonings "Blueberries & Cream," Pickwick's Warming Fire, and Celestial Seasonings Madagascar Vanilla Red....would automatically get you a heart and multiple bags would be more than welcomed! (Hint...Hint...)

I am open to any kind of tea. Not a big fan of black tea or English Breakfast tea but will of course not rate you down for sending it to me :-p - I like trying new odd flavours :-D

catweazle 03/ 1/2010 #

I love tea -- feel free to send me black tea, green tea, roiboos, honeybush or tisanes, I'll drink it up! :) Just please no boring things like English Breakfast, peppermint etc., stuff that I can get here as well (or already have in my tea box). I'm also not too big on citrus-y flavors (although other fruits are fine), and I can't stomach chai (I think it's the cloves)... Generally, I like weird, unusual blends. :)

solerosso 03/ 1/2010 #

I love tea-with exotic sweet spices-rhum-vanilla-cocco... NO MINT NO LOOSE TEA

IndefatigableL 03/ 1/2010 #

Oh my gosh, I love this! I like any and all teas, loose or not!

Nela 03/ 1/2010 #

I love all kind of tea, individually wrapped, if it´s possible, please

user5341 03/ 1/2010 #

Time for me to get swapping again after 2-3 years :)

I love tea! Chai and herbal blends preferred Not too big on fruity tea

I have some nice loose leaf teas, but I can put these in tea bags if needed as well.

Lanie 03/ 2/2010 #

I just ordered a chai yerba mate blend from a tea maker on etsy, they come bagged, it is a coffee subsitute blend and I can't wait to try it. He also has a chai green tea blend I would like to try.

I have to count up my teas before joining but if I do anything with lavender or jasmine or any exotic type flavors would get you a heart and chocolate flavored teas...I got a cocoa chai from one swap and it was soo yummy.

Red, white, green black any tea blend but no apple cinnamon or cinnamon by itself........I do not like the zinger teas from celestial seasonings but willing to try ones from other brands.

It was interesting to read the discussions but I only buy yogi tea and Liptons yellow label, perhaps I can send 2 bags of each, how about yellow label is that too boring??

IlonaH 03/ 3/2010 #

As long as you have 5 different ones, it's fine! 2x5 is 10 bags too (^_^)

IndefatigableL 03/ 3/2010 #

I am so excited, I just went out and bought tea for this! And am now sampling it myself, of course.

IndefatigableL 03/ 3/2010 #

And oh man, cocoa chai sounds AMAZING!

megapanda 03/ 3/2010 #

I can't think of a tea I don't like, and I welcome any loose leaf tea!

Lanie 03/ 3/2010 #

when you say yellow label do you mean just the regular orange/black pekoe tea? That is what regular lipton is pekoe tea.

I like to flavor up my regular lipton with hazelnut non dairy creamer it's really yummy. I have a 144 bag box as I got it at a wholesale food shopping club warehouse.

Lanie 03/ 3/2010 #

BTW I am hosting a tea swap, it's a red and white tea swap alice in wonderland themed as well as a matchbox same theme.

LeishaCamden 03/ 3/2010 #

I prefer bagged tea, but sending it in just the brew bag is no problem. I'd like a note saying what it is though if it's just the brew bag. :-)

evieroz 03/ 3/2010 #

Glad to hear that we can send NEW brew bags, A lot of the tea I buy is Celestial Seasonings and it comes in a box with the brew bags, not an individually wrapped pkg.

Lanie 03/ 3/2010 #

celestial seasonings are eco friendly that is why they don't individually wrap them.

I use small white labels on the small zip lock type bags when shipping those.

Ikat78 03/ 3/2010 #

This could be interesting...I spent some time in England and the tea is magnificent.

Lanie 03/ 3/2010 #

I just had a cucumber white tea and it was very good...had some other flavors in it of course.

Can't wait to swap.

Ikat78 03/ 4/2010 #

I got IIonaH! Checked the profile girl and I totally have to revamp mine now. I had no idea how detailed everyone was. Looking forward to swapping!

patpgh 03/ 4/2010 #

Please, no loose tea for me, just sealed bags. Thanks...............

Lanie 03/17/2010 #

Ship deadline date is this Sat the 20th

IlonaH 03/17/2010 #

Yes it is.

annan 03/25/2010 #

It says Lipton's Yellow Label on the packet. Hergestellt in der EU
