Description:

If you're anything like me, you've been gifted with something(s) that is NOTHING like your interests/a duplicate of something you already have/something that clashes with your decor/something that you're violently allergic to/fill-in-the-blank.

So it's time to swap!

This swap is for anything in that in the giftee's estimate was $15 or more after tax. No homemade items are allowed for this swap, and all items are to be brand new. Multiple items are allowed for this swap, as long as the total value meets the price minimum, and the items meet the swap requirements (new, etc).

Member requirements: 15 swaps, a minimum rating of 4.95, and no unexplained 1s or 3s in the past 3 months.

Sender's pick, of course. Let's clear house!

Great idea for a swap!! However, I'd be ashamed to pass anything on!!

I ran a pair of these about a month after Christmas (a $5 swap and another $15 swap), and both were a hit. What you dislike may be someone else's love!

LOL... I actually quite agree with nativegan, I don't think I'd feel quite right passing these things along... ; ) but y'all have fun... if nothing else it will provide laughter.

I think it would be a great idea. If you are never going to use the item it is better than throwing it away or just letting it sit there unused...

That was my thought, as well - plus, you never know what you might be getting in return, might be something you'd fall in love with!

This is a GREAT idea. Sometimes I wonder if my friends know me at all and this is the perfect way to move some dust collectors!

I agree with James, Patricia and bizzles...why be ashamed for passing something on? If you have to wonder what the heck someone was thinking when they bought you this gift or if it is obvious that they put no thought in to the gift they gave you, then why not pass it on?

Being sentimental to avoid appearing rude or ungrateful is the main cause of clutter...something I've vowed to get RID of this year!!!

How many things do you think you've given that have ended up in a yard sale or donated to a thrift store? There's no reason to feel bad. You wouldn't keep a nursing bra that someone bought you when you have no plans to breastfeed ever...and those things are expensive! (Not saying that I'm sending a bra, lol, just an example...)
