Description:

As you’re planting seeds for your spring flowers, save just a few (about 2-3 seeds/packet) to use for this swap! We will be sending our partner 3 different varieties of flower seeds, wrapped in a little decorated strip of paper inscribed with a metta (loving kindness), basically a little prayer you’re passing on to them (i.e. May you always be surrounded by beauty, May you have peace and serenity in your life, etc.). The idea is to unwrap the seeds and plant them in a little pot (preferably indoors), adhering the paper strip on the front of the pot. As the flower begins to bloom, the metta will be reinforced. Please don’t write the type of flower on the paper, it’s supposed to be a surprise. However, you can message your partner after the flower has bloomed (and hopefully they will) to find out exactly what it is.

If you’re not an artist (like me), just use some pretty patterned paper to write your mettas on. But feel free to use any additional decoration you want.

Breakdown: Send about 2-3 individual seeds for 3 different flowers. Each type of flower should be wrapped in a decorated strip of paper, inscribed with a metta for your partner.

Please send seeds that will be applicable to all planting zones. Since there are so many restrictions on mailing seeds internationally, I’ve made this US only. However, if anyone wants to start an international version, feel free to copy whatever wording you'd like from this listing. As this is a group swap, there is no rating requirement but if you have any recent 1’s or 3’s, please send me a message to explain it; otherwise, you might find yourself dropped from the swap. No price limit but you can often find seed packets for 3/$1.00 or 4/$1.00 at dollar stores.

I made this a Type 3 swap but it should fit in a regular sized envelope, with just a little additional postage for bulk. Write 'Hand Sort Only' or 'Fragile' on the envelope, just above the send to address and hopefully it won't go through the machine and risk getting torn.
