Beginners & Experienced Dotee Swap (MN)

For this swap you will make a Dotee Doll for your partner. This is sender's choice so you can start as soon as you like. If you are stuck for where to start you could choose a favourite colour of your partner.

What's a Dotee Doll? Well they are the Creation of fellow Aussie Dorothy Christian. If you've never tried making one before and can only do a running stitch you can make a Dotee Doll.

How do you say it? Dot-Tee (Named after Dorothy or Dot).

Key features of a Dotee:

• 4 to 6 inches long (Should sit nicely in the palm of your hand)
• Must have a looped hanger (Can be ribbon or beads)
• Must have a tail (Beaded usually)
• Embellishments (Like beads, buttons, sequins, bows, charms, etc)
• Face of felt (or skin-tone fabric if you can't find felt)
• Details of eyes and a mouth on face. (Can be embroidered or drawn.Traditionally eyes are closed but can be adapted to your own creative whims).
• Hair (Usually of yarn but you can use your imagination here too - use other materials or add a hat.)
• Stuffed with clean new material like polyfill.

As this is open to beginners I am giving a longer time frame. It may take time to gather the required supplies to make a Dotee.
