Description:

Int. Sewing Needle Case Swap.

This is for all those that sew. I am guessing there are a fair few after seeing the pin cushion swap. (which is what inspired this one)

This is my first swap so no messin' around please folks! I'm looking for serious swappers & will kick yuou out if I don't think you will play fair as I would hate for anyone to be let down! If anyone is having problems meeting target dates all I ask is that you let your partner or me know...

I'm thinking for variety TWO swap partners, so if one isn't quite to your taste the other might be - but do ask please look at folks profile & try to create something you think they would like.

I am not going give any size restrictions or any must haves - you decide what to create & how to do it. There is loads of on-line inspiration (flickr.com is my fav) but just make something beautiful! I think Kitty Craft also have some freebie japanese patterns too...

Ok so heres the dull bit - no no senders & rating of 5 please. It would also be nice if you added a card or letter explaining why you made it the way you did or you could even include your pattern or inspiration details...

The idea is you make some ones day so taht they smile when they open your parcel & want to use your case for there needles! :)

Would love to see what everone makes - so please don't forget to upload your pics.

Thanks - have fun

Any questions please feel free to ask...

Okay forgot to mention the intention is that you make the case yourself - NO bought needle cases!

elusivecallie 08/ 2/2007 #

are these needle cases supposed to be made of a certain material, or be a certain shape? Can needle books count too?

Biff 08/ 3/2007 #

Yeah a book is fine - what ever you choose - just so long as your partner can store sewing needles in it.

No certain materials, shape or theme just something you thing they would like.

So for example if I should be so lucky as to get someone with an owl fetish I could try & create something owl shaped or maybe do a little owl design on the front of a book or maybe just sew an owl button on somewhere - but try to make something to suit your partners...

Hope that makes sense! I've had a glass of wine & feeling a bit tipsy!

Sorry but what kind of needles. Knitting needles or sewing?

Figino 08/ 7/2007 #

Now I saw it in the title - sorry again!

Just swapped partners over so go have a look & seek inspiration for your creations!

Happy swapping folks.

Any questions or anything feel free to shout up here or message me.

Thanks folks - have fun! (...now who did I get?)
