Description:

I have seen and done various Alphabet swaps and enjoyed them. But, although I appreciate all the different techniques people use, I would like a complete alphabet set in one style/technique. I am leaving a long 'work' time so you can make this an ongoing summer project like me if you want!

For this swap make 27 ATCs for one partner. That's the alphabet and a 'title' card to go with it. My thought for 27 is that they could be displayed in three 3x3 baseball card pages nicely that way.

Any technique/theme is fine - for example a monochromatic alphabet (each card all one color), a zentangle set, a food theme set, a collage alphabet set, a watercolor alphabet, an animal alphabet set, a digital photo set, etc. Just be sure to put your best effort into the cards. Make a set you hate to give away - but do!

Please check the comments below to see if your partner REALLY doesn't want something - ie. religious themed. It would be nice for you to check your partner's profile for dislikes and favs right after they are assigned. Many swap-botters have favorite colors in their profile. A blue alphabet set for a lover of blue would be cool! A music themed set for a music lover would be great. Checking your partners profile might give you just the inspiration you need to get started.

Since we are trading 27 cards at one time I will not be able to angel - so if you aren't sure you can follow through - this isn't the swap for you!

Standard size ATC's 2.5 x 3.5. If you choose to make the ATCs in the shape of the letters that would be cool, too - just make sure they are still appx 2.5x3.5.

Leave me any questions you have here in the comments so everyone can read them!

Happy Alphabetting!

I'm really interested in this one!! I've participated in ABC ATC swaps, but never managed to get the whole alphabet. Will it be at all profile based? I wouldn't be interested in, say, an alphabet based on a TV series, or a particular religion...I'm keeping an eye on this one though, 'cause I'd love to do it!! The making is at least as much fun as the getting!

WOW! how absolutely FUN FUN FUN! i <3 it. so...the theme is sender's choice?

jj9jj 05/26/2010 #

Yes - the theme is senders choice - however if you REALLY don't want something leave a message in the comments here. I will add a line about that in the description.

sorry, the triplicate comments are due to my bad internet connection.

Not a problem irenns! Glad to have you. Hope you'll like getting/making a whole alphabet at once!

I'm excited but nervous! I hope mine measure up!

jj9jj 06/18/2010 #

I am sure they will be great southernsara! If you like them - we will like them!

I love this idea but it is just too big a project for me right now. Wish I had all the time in the world.

Maybe next time Missysmom! When I planned this one I knew it was a time consuming swap and not everyone would be able to participate.
