Description:

This is the second swap for this pattern, because I really like it! But this time it will be based on each person's profile or preference! Please post in the comments section below, your color palate. :)

I am really getting into the quilt patterns of yesteryear. This will be the first in a series of swaps for vintage geometric shape pieces. I'm so excited and I hope that you are too and will join! I am giving a generous amount of time to get it done, so it's not a rush, but really make sure you are committed. Especially, since this is an INTERNATIONAL swap. :)

For this swap:

*1 partners

*1 Dresden plate and separate center circle (Just the Dresden plate and center circle. Do not applique to background for blocks)

*Dresden plate should be minimum 6" across up to 12" (unless your partner and you agree on something more specific)

*Profile specific for fabric (please read your partner's profile and check the comments below for specific info)

*Also, please make sure that the outside edge is finished, i.e., point tips, round tips, plain but pressed or topstitched so there are no raw edges.

*Please use quality fabrics. It doesn't have to be quilt store expensive, just good quality. No cheap, loose weave, hard, dollar store fabric.

I would like french country colors: summer blue, butter yellow, granny smith green, white. Also, I like the pointy edge as well! :)

All my favorite colors are listed in my profile down at the bottom! The black, white and red mentioned there are just for the 9-patch blocks I'm swapping, I would love a Dresden Plate that will fir in a 12" block, in any and/or all of the other colors I love (please no pink! or orange!)--and the pointy edge would be nice, too as the first one I received had them and looks great!

I would prefer my plate to fit a 12" block with points as well and I prefer it to be done in 1930's reproduction type colors and prints.

I would also like mine to fit in a 12" block with pointed edges. I would like mine in pinks please

AlteredArtFreak 06/26/2010 #

As to my preferences above, if you dont have any 30's reproduction type fabric, calico fabrics work well, colors I would like would also be blue's and and yellow's.

Sorry, but I have to drop out! No more quilting for a while as I attach the insanely cluttered space I live in! I hope to come out of it with a new art studio space big enough for EVERYTHING I love to do! Wish me luck! I'll be back in a couple of months.
