Description:

If anyone want to run an International version, please feel free to do so!

I just love the idea of swapping journals, but many call for way more artistic or creative abilities then I possess PLUS I'm too impatient to wait 1-2 months to get mine! Also, I prefer to have a little leeway with the topics I get to write about, so in this swap you will be allowed up to skip up to 3 journal entries.

SWAP DETAILS

-You can use a journal or composition notebook, store bought or handmade, but it must be at least 5 x 7, NO EXCEPTIONS. You can decorate it if you'd like, but it is not required.

For EASY instruction on how to make your own journal, see my blog post here: http://choosingsimplicity.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/an-easy-quick-handmade-journal/

-You MUST write at least 1 FULL PAGE on all of the topics you choose, NO EXCEPTIONS. Be creative in how you elaborate or give details, put some EFFORT into your answers!

-This is a QUICK TURNAROUND swap, so feel free to start as soon as you sign up!

-There are 19 journal topics listed below, #1 is REQUIRED and you are allowed to skip up to THREE topics. This means that your journal MUST have at least 16 entries, and of course you can do all 19 if you feel like it!

JOURNAL TOPICS

  1. Write a basic intro about yourself-family, friends, job, pets, hobbies, etc... (this one is REQUIRED)

  2. What are your 3 worst habits and what are you doing to try and change, if anything?

  3. If you were able to grant 1 BIG wish, or help make something important happen in 1 other person in your life (can't be your own), who's would it be and WHAT would it be?

  4. You need to pack for a 7-day camping trip and can ONLY BRING 50 items, what are they? And yes, EVERYTHING counts! Try to elaborate on some of the items, tell us why you chose that versus something else, etc...

  5. Planet Earth is deteriorating and the scientists have determined that everyone needs to be shuttled over to a parallel universe. However, the traveling will have a side effect on our brain, where we can only retain 5 memories from our current life. What 5 memories would you choose and why?

  6. what are your 10 biggest weaknesses, what are you a sucker for?

  7. You are only allowed to buy 26 raw foods (un-cooked ingredients) for the next month, not including spices. The twist...only 1 item for each letter of the alphabet is allowed! For example- Apples, Broccoli, Cucumbers, etc...

  8. write down a secret or something personal that no one else knows.

  9. Describe where you live and AT LEAST 10 positive things about living there.

  10. Describe in detail your dream vacation and all the things you'll do and see...now plan it out on a $3000 budget. You will need to list the ACTUAL prices for everything, from plane tickets or gas for the car, to the meals and entrance fees to sight-seeing stops. And don't forget your souvenirs!!

  11. Describe someone who has had a BIG influence on your life. Who is it and what did they do to help you grow, what is special about them?

  12. looking at your partners profile, place a small surprise inside of an envelope and attach it to the journal page.

  13. Word just came down from the “head honchos” and you have been promoted to your DREAM JOB!! What is it, why do you think you would love it? Are you actually close to getting it/doing it, and if not, why not??

  14. Of the 5 major senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, speaking), which is the most important you and why? Which is the least important to you and how would you life change if you didn't have it anymore?

  15. What is the bravest thing you have ever done, what or who got you to do it? Now describe a time where you WISH you would have been brave, but weren't. What held you back?

  16. If you could instantly change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? How has it affected your life so far?

  17. How many times have you been “in love” and do you believe that everyone has a “soul mate”, 1 person to whom they truly belong with?

  18. In the grand scheme of things, do you get served/thought of/considered first or last? What do YOU feel that says about you?

  19. Write about ANYTHING.

I had SO much fun doing beginners journal #2, i'm so signing up for this one!

biscuitsandyarn 06/25/2010 #

Do we get our journals back or are we writing for our partner to keep? I'm not quite understanding....an entire notebook seems to be a lot of room for 16 pages of writing. Sorry for the questions, just want to make sure I understand. :)

biscuitsandyarn 06/25/2010 #

Just one more quick question...since this is round 3 does anyone know about how much shipping is on a notebook? Thanks.

rubyhousesliprs 06/25/2010 #

They could be decorated if one wished to do so, correct?

sduckson 06/25/2010 #

haha, hello everyone!! @nalfavi welcome back!!!

@biscuitsandyarn your partner keeps the journal and you can keep it inexpensive by picking one up at the dollar store, or just using a composition notebook and decorating it a little :) Shipping for the notebook should be more then $3 or so. You can also make one with just enough pages, I'll upload the picture of mine when I get a chance so you can see an example.

@shabbypink123 yes! decorate away :)

BostonGirl79 06/25/2010 #

does it HAVE to be hand written... or is typed ok?

sduckson 06/25/2010 #

@bostobgirl79 it can be typed, cut out and then attached to the journal pages. However, it can not just be a stack of typed pages.

TryshaH81 06/25/2010 #

AGH I swore not to swap in August but I guess that just means I better get my butt in gear and mail it before then!! I love journals :) Yours are really good swaps!!

sduckson 06/26/2010 #

@justmeth81 thanks for the compliment! and you have all of july to finish so it doesn't count as an "august" swap, lol.

kleedawn 06/26/2010 #
