in Denmark we open our gifts at the evening the 24th..

@swedishmum you can either do that yes or wait to rate until you have opened the gift. tho since its not profile based the actual item isnt to be rated on if you liked the item as long as you actually got an item.

Just a suggestion, but I also love these types of swaps and sending International can be sooo costly. Is it possible to pair people up with their own regions or is it done automatically? I'd love to do a swap to canada or the US. I'll watch and see! ;)

Is it ok to send several small items (that reach the same money value) instead of just one gift? And what about handmade stuff?

@darcilena partners are assigned automatically; swap hosts have no control. The only way you'd get someone in US or Canada is to have a regional only swap. Of course, you might get luck of the draw and get a US person, since US people predominate on this site! Also, you could see this as an opportunity to be creative and find something wonderful and very light to mail. International mail is not that bad.
