I'm working on setting up a new version of this swap for mini half square triangles.....trying to decide what size I want them to be...any input would be appreciated....I'm leaning towards starting with a 3 1/2" square to end up with a 3" half square triangle block after joining......I keep thinking of all the neat mini quilts that I can make from a large supple of 3" half square triangles

I also love the look of smaller half square triangles (2" finished) but think they might be a little too difficult to produce accurately.

looking for some input

3 1/2 sounds good to me. People could always trim those down to smaller sizes if they want.

I'm making a scrappy quilt right now that starts with 2 1/2" squares and sews down to a 2" square in the block. I'd participate in a 3 1/2" one and just cut them down, but would welcome a 2 1/2" swap. The pattern is called Crossroads (I've seen it as Arkansas and Connecticut) if anyone else wants to check it out. Star blocks (with the HSTs) alternating with 12-patch blocks that are all square. I'd also love to just swap the squares.

oh I love the input...thank you PepperDust, and susandjones.....I've already started cutting some 3 1/2" squares and matching them -one light print, one dark print- and will probably set the Mini HST swap up this week...hope you both can join!
