Description:

"B" is for boy, boat, basket, bottle, bell, belle, Beverly Hills, Brea and Monterey Bay.

Let's do a postcard swap starting with the letter "B". Your postcard must feature a person, place or thing that begins with the letter "B". If the name of a particular city or other place is on the card, it fits the swap guidelines. Some letters will be harder than others and this is just for fun, so have fun with this swap too.

On the back of the postcard, please print or write legibly the item that is the "B" word for your card.

An example of an "B" card, you could pick a postcard with wine bottles, baskets or a town beginning with the letter "B" such as Brea, or a photo of a bay such as Monterey Bay, etc.... I'm sure you'll be able to think of so many things.

Don't put the postcard in an envelope. You can certainly tell your partner why you chose the card if you like, but not part of the swap guidelines

from reading the description, i'm assuming that the postcard is supposed to be something to do with California. like, a place, a thing, or a person associated with the state... since this is the Golden State Swappers group. am i correct? or is it okay to send something that is completely random (like a postcard from an online website or an art card)? i'm okay with either, but i'd like to make sure that i'm sending the right thing! :)

Hi hippofairy,

Since this is the California group, I assumed our postcards would feature things, persons, places in California. One should never assume:))) But yes, I'd like postcards to feature something in or of California.

From your question, I believe your question is if you can download a postcard in color or an art card featuring something in California, but fits the "B" part of the swap.

Example: A downloaded postcard showing a bay in California would work - California and bay for "B". On the back of the postcard, print the name of the bay. You might add why you selected the card for your partner (nice but not part of the swap requirements). Art card may be a little harder to define the "B", but I don't want to rule it out. An art postcard may be an arty azalea collage or such. I am not sure what you mean by random, other than just any postcard - no, it must fit the requirements of the swap.

The one thing I do caution is that there be no printer lines and that your postcard colors be of excellent quality. I believe you may spend more money on printing than necessary. The size MUST be a general postcard size. With that said, if you all want to stipulate store-bought postcards for future swaps, I'll go with the majority.

as to the last comment, Last letter "A" I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be California scenes only or what. I was hoping they were California only because that would be a challenge. I don't care if they are homemade or not. Thanks for doing this swap.
