Description:
For this swap, you will create for your one partner, one mosaic made from paper. You will list 5 theme options below for your partner to choose from. To create a paper mosaic, simply cut or rip different papers in to small pieces and then glue them on to a semi-hard flat surface, like cardboard or cardstock, to create an image. Then seal the entire project. The image you create is sender's choice but it must be based on one of the five themes your partner has listed below, and should be at least 5 x 7 inches. Please only send quality work. Must be in good standing of the group.

So, how does a mosaic differ from a collage?

my understanding is that a collage is a collection of pictures cut out and pasted into a new arrangement, there are recognizable pictures, figures and images used in the collage to make the end result a new picture. The pieces of a collage would stand alone if not incorporated into a collage. A mosaic takes colored pieces to make an original image, the individual pieces of the mosaic do not stand alone--without the mosaic, they are just scraps of paper.

I'm hoping to join this swap, but will watch for now until I know better what November brings.

When you say 'seal the entire project' do you mean for transportation? I don't suppose you mean we whould laminate it or something? That would be a waste of the structure in my opinion. Just making sure.. :-)

Okay so I missed the part that said list 5 themes and only listed three so I will add 2: mushrooms and peace signs are my other two. Sorry about that!
