Turning 40 in 2010?!

Have you ever joined a pen-pal swap, only to be matched with someone at such a different stage in life that the pen-relationship didn't work? Are you turning, or have you turned 40 this year? Well, I have, and I am! And I am scared! The big 4-OH! Eek!

This swap will be open to the select few (lucky us) that are born in 1970. I wondered how many of us there are out here in swap-bot land and thought I'd try this one...!

The idea is that you will be sending a letter to your partner about how you feel about turning 40. You should tell them about your stage in life and, well, YOU'VE DONE PEN-PAL SWAPS BEFORE! YOU WANT ME TO COME OVER THERE AND WRITE THE LETTER FOR YA?! A page or two. Make it good and it doesn't have to be a novel. You might like to send it in a card--just make it nice. We're 40, we know how to do it up right.

ALSO...I want you to go out and spend $5-$10 on a little present for yourself. When you buy what you buy, though, you must buy another one for your partner. Send it to them with the letter. See, wasn't that simple?
