Name that Book! postcard game

Time for a quick and easy one! Sort of an expanded, written version of our tag game in the forums. In this swap, you will send your partner one postcard with quotations to help him/her guess the title of your children's book of choice.

Your postcard should include at least 2 or 3 clues in the form of short quotes from your book that provide hints to the title, choosing from the following categories.

• setting or specific location
• reference to time period
• dress, decor, demeanor
• snippet of dialogue
• action sequence
• reference to primary quest
• a line including the name or description of antagonist
• any particularly lovely prose.

Please note: your clues should not include the name of the protagonist! This is a well-versed group, so don't make the clues too, too easy...but please do choose a book that is fairly well-known.

The postcard is sender's choice and may be new, handmade, or clean vintage, and should be sent naked, written on, and stamped to your partner. Once it's received, your partner will guess the answer in your rating...and you should post a response on his or her profile to say if it's correct.
