Description:

Let's create some artistamps! I have received quite a few lately in other swaps, so now I think its time we made some as a group.

Artistamps, also known as "faux postage" are great to use in mail art, ATC's, or just to collect. Artistamps can be printed or individually handmade. They may have perforated edges like traditional postage, or not. They may have a pretend 'price' designation on them, or not. You can make up your own country or issuing authority, or decorate them in some other way. We will make a sheet of 12 artistamps for our partner. Size can be no smaller than smallest postage stamp (a postcard stamp, right?).

Here are some great links for ideas or instruction:

link 2

link 3 - for those of you with Photoshop!

and these you can actually download & print for your own art work! (not for this swap though)

The only rules when creating for this swap are: (1) you use your own art work or design (you can use images/pictures from books or the internet, but they must be altered/edited in some way to make it your own; and (2), they must be adhesive-backed or gummed (for lick-to-stick) in some way. There are recipes available online for stamp & envelope glue, as well as ready-made envelope glue you can buy.

Sender's choice, for the most part, however please take a look at your partner's profile and don't make "flowery" artistamps if they hate flowers :) Usual swap rules apply; no 1's, 3's or no-sends in the last 2 months. PM me with any questions.
