I LOVE keri smith and i have taken things from her books to make a different fun journal swap, lets let our creative side run riot with this and just have fun. make or buy your journal but make sure its something YOU would like to recieve! the prompts :- Pour spill drip on a page Paint or colour with your fingers or hands Colour the whole page Do pencil rubbings Fill a page with circles Write one word over and over Scribble wildly Write or draw with your left hand Create a nonestop line Glue a page from a magazine circle words you like Make a stain log Design slogan stickers Make a wish tree .... draw or make a tree and add wishes Take a normal everyday sign and alter it Transform a plastic shopping bag make it into something new Play with food .... makes great stains and prints Make a tactile area .... good to touch not look at Mess with garbage ... boxes wrappers makes something fun Document sounds you hear for an hour Create a museum of small objects Go to the paint store and collect chips of all your fave colours Draw and decorate your hand Do anything you want but you MUST do it in red Write in your journal in a medium you wouldnt normally use. Eg paint Write about how much fun you had creating this journal now the boring bit you must have 4.9 rating and no recent no sends i will be checking and i will remove anyone i have concerns about. The idea of this is to have fun and enjoy it. have fun be creative happy swapping

is there a particular size we're supposed to be doing? Also, the "write with your left hand" should be stated write with your non-dominant hand...being left handed, that one doesn't pose a challenge for me :)

all i ask is its something you would love to recieve i tend to use 8 x 8 journals i make myself :) as for the left hand yes if you could all note to use your none dominant hand that would be good

I was not familiar with keri smith but was somehow drawn to this swap. I googled her and learned a little bit. My understanding is that I should abandon my natural ( sometimes cumbersome) tendencies toward neatness, precision and measuring and just follow the prompts to fill the journal.Be crazy! be free! nuts!wild!goofy!silly!, etc. This journal should be my companion often so it can have its own travels and attain authentic wear. Besides the prompts, should I add any other pages to it? Can you tell by my comment that this swap would be therapeutic for me?! Sheesh! Sue

@suemick15 you can do them in any order your choice just have fun with it i am :) abandon the rules of art just play be creative and have fun and yes very theraputic

As English is not my first language I have a few questions: *What is "stain log"? *What is "stencil rubbings"? Thank you :)

stain log is blobs of things like nail varnish stuff like that ...... and the rubbings are pencil rubbings are paper over an object and rubbed with a pencil :) hope that helps

OH my gosh I just found this today. I sure wish I had seen it earlier, it sure does sound like an awesome swap and the prompts are interesting and fun.
