Description:

This is a bit tricky, but I hope it can all work and make for a fun swap!

I don't get the point of collecting un-used postcards but sometimes I want to keep some for my own collection. Thus:

You'll send 4 postcards to your 1 partner in an envelope, ones that you've been wanting to keep for yourself. They will send these back to you, so be sure to go ahead and write your address on each.

Due to the cost of postage, we'll keep this one USA only. If you're sending an oversized postcard (larger than 6x4) to be sent back to you, you must put the 44 cent stamp on before sending off to your partner, but otherwise the 28 cent postage will be taken care of by the receiver of the envelope (the person that sends them back individually).

Since this is a swap that requires a lot of trust (you're sending off beloved postcards, after all!) newbies will not be allowed, you must have 10 completed swaps that have been rated. Also, no one with a less-than-perfect rating.

If anyone has any questions please let me know! Also, if anyone has ideas to make this swap seem a little less confusing feel free to voice them!

So you send BLANK cards to someone who then writes on them and sends them back to you?

tishous 11/29/2010 #

Exactly! I've seen quite a few swaps lately where you just send one to a partner that they send back but why not do them in bulk?

This is such a fun idea--thanks for hosting!

Two questions: will our partners be sending the postcards back over the space of a few days (rather than all 4 at one time)? And will they be sending them back by a certain date?

Oh, totally forgot to address that in the description, so big thanks, @thehappyhoneybee !

All postcards should be sent back to their owner by the week after receiving the envie of them. It's up the receiver (whose now the sendee) if they want to send them off in one batch or space them out so that maybe they reach the owner one each day.

Excellent--thank you!

It might be nice to pre-address the postcards for your partner, too!

Partners are assigned! To make up for the delay I added an extra day to the swap :)

It's a little late to be asking new questions, but this one just occurred to me. How will we rate our partners? If for some reason I don't give my postcards back, it looks like I have no way to leave a 1 for the person who is supposed to send them.
