What better way to start our swaps than sending Easter cards to celebrate our Risen Savior! There will be two parts to this swap:

  1. You will send one partner one card. It can be store bought or a handmade card.

  2. Once your partner is assigned, read her profile and then introduce her in the comments section of this swap. Highlight what you find most interesting, or maybe you have common interests, etc. This way, we will all learn more about each other.

You will rate your partner on both requirements; the Easter card and the posted comment are both required.

Do not hesitate to ask questions if this isn't clear.

@bb2
First off...bb2 (Joan) lives way too far away for me-it would be SO MUCH fun to go lawn saling and Good Will shopping with her. I miss having a close friend to do that with. Joan has been a lifesaver to me in more ways than one. I lost a dear friend last october suddenly and I miss her dearly. She was not a face to face friend but a long distance friend I had thru the 'inky' trail for more than 5 yrs. I had been very depressed since then till bb2 Joan. I actually think that my late friend Joan has sent me bb2 Joan. I know Joan likes lime green color (I too am a fan of the color green), She likes cats and I too am a huge cat lover. My house wouldn't be a house without a cat in it. She loves vintage items esp Postcards. I am a 'vintage' person as well and miss the Good ole days when life was not so complicated. She also loves Umbrellas and anything pictured with one. Joan is a very giving person and even in the short time I have known her, she has taught me alot. She also volunteers with Seniors-I think she is just WONDERFUL!!!! Thanks SO MUCH Joan for being my friend.

@glennasgarden has a wonderful profile and blog! (I so envy individuals who can commit to keeping a blog). She also has an Etsy store, but it is on hold at the moment. I'm anxiously waiting for it to open! She is a mother to two sons and grandmother to two grandsons. She is a photographer, artist, designer and vintage collector! She currently lives in New Hampshire, but has lived in Oregon, Illinois, Maryland and Florida (among other places?). She is a cancer survivor, but the experience has made her stronger. Like me, she loves the color purple, irises, water in varied forms (waterfalls, beaches, etc.), quilts, cats, quality stickers and embellishments (no letters please), dark chocolate, peppermint patties and many other things. She collects vintage buttons, tiny tasteful crosses, stained glass, vintage greeting cards and postcards. She is a die-hard fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins. She lives in an apartment building that was converted from a victorian church (still has tall windows and high ceilings--how cool!). Her best friend is her sister. Above all, she loves God with her whole being! I'm looking forward to getting to know you even more, @glennasgarden

My partner is @ginnabee AKA nuttybee by a close friend :) Gina lives in GA, is married, mother to 4 grown sons and a beautiful red headed girl who passed away at the age of 23 in 2004 (so sorry for your loss). She is a grandma to 5 (4 girls and a boy). She is retired and enjoys being a homebody but also likes thrift shopping , $ Stores, birdwatching and of course her crafting (chunky books, junque journals, scrapbooking, altering tins and photo frames, jewelry, crocheting and minimal sewing). Some of her favorite themes are: nature (trees, oceans, animals and landscapes), coffee, whimsical, angels, and steampunk.Gina prefers: the color purple, the word LOVE, the heart symbol and the number 7. She has no desire for skulls, vampires, gory, nudes, rap music or meanness!!! She is a compassionate, Christian lady that I have been enjoying getting to know and if you get the chance check out her FLICKR to see some of her great creations and the beautiful blue buttterfly tattoo she has just above her ankle :) Blessings and Happy Easter @ginnabee !!

@clutterfree is my partner for this swap. She lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and joined Swap-bot less than a year ago in August. Charlene must love swapping because I see she has already completed 142 swaps! Besides swapping, she enjoys her Christian faith, family, gardening, the outdoors, reading and warm buttery popcorn while watching a favorite movie. She loves children and keeps busy with daycare in her home. I can just imagine her moving around in that newly remodeled kitchen, fixing lunches for the little ones. And, I know she makes it fun for them because she listed seasonal paper napkins and decorations on her wish list.

In fact, I picture Charlene’s home as warm, inviting and “clutterfree.” I would love to stop by and sit in her kitchen for a visit. I know I would enjoy her seasonal decorations and the other themes she likes, garden themes, sunflowers, and birds. I bet Charlene’s kitchen smells heavenly, too, with the homemade sour dough gifts she bakes for her friends. Don’t you just want to stop in and have a sample and visit with her? I know I do, but alas, I’ll have to settle for a good chat in the forums.Thank you for joining in the fun of this swap, Charlene!

@DixieDiane is my partner for this swap. If ever there were someone so very much like me it would be her. She loves cats and irises just two of our many shared favorites! She is thrifty too and does a lot of coupon clipping. Diane and I well we also share a love of vintage. Our garden would be perfect she into veggies and I into flowers. But most important of all Diane and I are Christian friends now.
