Christian Words of Encouragement

I need words of encouragement sometimes to help me get through a tough situation or just to remind me that I am not alone in this world....that I have a BIG GOD who can handle ALL my needs. One thing I cherish are words of encouragement from my Sisters in Christ.

Thanks to @gewalli for letting me borrow this idea....I thought it would be awesome to swap words of encouragement (based on the Bible) with one another.

According to Wikipedia, an affirmation

"refers primarily to the practice of positive thinking—fostering a belief that "a positive mental attitude supported by affirmations will achieve success in anything." More specifically an affirmation is a carefully formatted statement that should be repeated to one's self and written down frequently. For an affirmation to be effective, it needs to be present tense, positive, personal and specific."

In this swap you will make 10 affirmation cards for 1 partner, according to the following "rules"

•The text on the card should be written in PRESENT TENSE, POSITIVE AND PERSONAL, e.g. "I can do ALL things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength." or "I'm successful in my work because all I do is for the glory of the Lord". That is, you shouldn't write "I will..." but "I am..."

•The cards should be 3,5 x 2,5 INCHES, and in LANDSCAPE orientation, i.e. the longer side against the table and the shorter side upwards |===|

•This one is for CHRISTIAN affirmations and words of encouragement.

•Make them beautiful and a joy to look at every day :) Be creative. Don't just jot something down and add a sticker. Pray over your cards and put some thought into them for the woman who will receive them.

•You should have at least 5 sent and rated type 3 swaps, and a rating of at least 4.8. No newbies for this one, sorry...

•There is 2 weeks from sign up date to send by date. Check your partners profile before making their cards so they can be more personal. You can include extras if you want but it is not a requirement.

If there is an interest, I will make a series of this swap, and in time you'll have affirmation cards for each day of the year :)

There are lots of sources for affirmations on the web, search for "affirmations" in google and you'll get many hits.

I will angel if necessary, but we don't flake here, right ladies and gentlemen?
