Description:

Hello swappers, we are talking about quarters here, FAT quarters of fabric! In this swap we will be sending ONE PARTNER 3 fat quarters of fabric. It would be nice to check your partners profile for favorite colors but it is senders choice. They can be three co-ordinating prints, 3 different plain colors or a combination It might be nice if you choose a light, a medium and dark shades of either the prints or plains but it is senders choice.

Many people already have material at home and it is alright to send THREE DIFFERENT COLORED materials all together. Quilters like cotton but people who make other crafts with material or clothes wouldn't care if were polyester blend or any material they recieved.

I can make a 3 pair of shorts for my nephew or niece with 3 FAT QUARTERS. Think of those who make stuffed animals perhaps......there are many things one could use material for including card making and scrapbooking.

Let's share ideas below for using material to help out the non sewer. Get those creative juices going swappers, maybe we can get lots of people signed up for this swap making a myriad of uses for the material. Sum it up here. 1.One partner 2. 3 differnt colors (prints, plains or combination). 3.Size= fat quarter,(Fat Quarter -18″ x 22″) Newbies with filled out profile welcome (I will check), unrated ok BUT absolutely NO flakers. Everyone will get their material as I will angel if necessary. UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? Let's do it!

Why is an awesome swap like this U.S. only?

junemoon 04/29/2011 #

Jannikinz, I'm not the host but I joined this partly because it is regional. I love sending letters and postcards to people in other parts of the world but sending packages is expensive and requires customs forms and I'd just rather not deal with that.

I wish the title made it clear that it is regional. Then we non-US members wouldn't click on it and be disappointed. I read all the way through and got excited about it, as I didn't realise it was regional until I read jannikinz's comment. Yes, I should have checked earlier, but I tend to assume international groups have international swaps.

Sorry, Jenny . . . is there any way you could start a similar one for the European countries? I'd love to have you included in all the swaps, but I understand that the postage cost can be a prohibitive. Last time I sent something to Australia it cost $10.50 for a very small package.

pedal2u, thanks for coming up with this idea. Your fat quarter reward will be sent in the next few days.

Jenny I am sorry about the regional. You are correct that it is an International group. I am new about this. I will make an International one as well. I'll call it International Fat Fatter and Fattest . Sorry my error. This one isnt going as well as I thought it might but maybe thats why. I just can't change it at this late date.
