Description:

This is open to the specified rating and newbies, but if you don't want to put a little time, effort and materials into your craft please don't join. I have received complaints about some things that have been received that were smashed, one had maybe a total of $1 put into it if that much (I seen pics). This is not a beginners swap. If you are a beginning crafter feel free to borrow this swap idea for a swap for beginners.

Craft surprise swap!!! You must make a craft that you specialize in (quilting, sewing, crafts, crocheting, jewelry making, altered journal, paper crafts, purses, anything you are good at making. . Please make a nice craft (something you would be proud to receive). And remember your gift must be a surprise even though you can use ideas from your partners profile if you specialize in things they like. You must have a rating of 4.75 or higher. Or if you are a newbie as long as your profile is completed you can signup. And please don't signup if you aren't planning to send to your partner or can't follow the requirements. I will angel, but please everyone don't put this on the host. If you see you can't do it just don't signup. And please let me know if you don't receive within the allotted time. This is an United States swap. Please invest at least $10 (supplies) in your craft for your partner. This isn't a costly swap and I realize that some of you are into papercrafts and make cards. you may want to make 2 or 3 cards and maybe some tags or a set of note cards. I am sure everyone will do an awesome job.

Please make sure that you make something that you would feel proud to receive

I'd like to join all the craft swaps! But...It's summer! Time to be outside. Time to go camping (I do camp crafts-always take a box of supplies along) and several birthdays are comin up. Got other projects to finish...I don't want to join so many swaps that it becomes work. I 'd rather have fun! (^_^) Happy Swapping!

I look forward to doing this.....it will be fun and I already have some ideas but will wait to I receive my partners name.

I have a question. I am a lace maker. It would be very difficult to put $10 worth of supplies into a beautifully made doily but it would take significant time. Would that be acceptable for this swap?

xochristyt 06/ 5/2011 #

I think the doily would definitely qualify. Your time has value. I make dreamcatchers, it takes time and effort to make a successful one. I would be very happy to receive something so time consuming.

How about crocheted bookmarks, there would be a hardship to put that much in supplies, but not time?

PATHACKER 06/ 6/2011 #

yes if you put quality time in a craft like the doily or the dreamchatcher I believe that qualifies. Crocheted bookmarks would also be ok
