Date items must be sent by:June 22, 2011
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

this is an inexpensive (because it's only postcard rate) but a bit will take a bit of effort.

basically this swap is:

DECORATE A POSTCARD BASED ON YOUR PARTNER'S PROFILE

the postcard may be store-bought or handmade (also based on partner's profile)

you will write your partner's name and address on the postcard, add the postage stamp(s), write the swap name and your user name so they know who sent it, write a short note to say "hi", and then decorate the rest of the card!

based on your partner's profile: collage, draw, paint, or rubber stamp to the postcard. a couple of stickers are okay, too, but you must add some of your own art work too. make sure everything is adhered on well so your work makes it to it's destination! but... don't cover your work up with tape. it's takes away from the artwork beneath. laminating is okay, but will increase the postage.

mail art is not necessarily beautiful or fancy. but it should show effort and hopefully bring a smile to you're partner's face. :)

the image for the swap was randomly found on the internet

here are some examples of postcard mailart: radish art
death and taxes
grizzly bear
rubber stamped
ducky
puppies and vampires

any questions, let me know! and of course, since it's a profile swap, i will be checking profiles before i assign partners. and i will angel anybody that gets flaked on (but i'm sure with the wonderful people in this group, that will be unnecessary). :)

happy swapping!

This looks like you have to use the back of the post card for your art and the address of the person you're sending it to. Is that right? So it's about the size of an ATC?

hello @Clarian - you are right. you have the choice of using the whole postcard front and back for the art, or you can just work around the address (making about ATC sized. it's your choice how much art you want on the card.
