Description:

I love charms! I love to add them to textile items i make, chains for fun jewelry, bookmarks, dotees, and many other places that just need that oomph. In this first of hopefully many charm swaps of different kinds you will make 5 charms and send one charm to five partners. The size needs to be roughly the size of a marble or typical game die( dice is the plural). These can be charms felted by you or embellished by you.. made of craft felt in stacks, rolls or very tiny stuffed ornaments. Use beads, embroidery floss and techniques, glue if you dont sew, have fun but remember the size in case someone wants to wear it on a charm bracelet. Aside from the size rule there is one other rule for the charm.. please put a way to attatch it. Use your best judgement as to whether a jump ring or a looped head pen or some other stecure way for your partner to attatch it to her desired creation.

I really hope to get a group of swappers with at least monthly swaps of charms going.... not just one kind but using lots of techniques... from beaded to fimo to shrink art or buttons... lots of ideas come to mind and with at least 5 charms ( plus always make a few extra of your own variety) you can always have a fun bracelet if you want. I am sure there are questions to my swap info sign up. Feel free to ask instead of just passing. There are so many tutorials on line that even beginners should be able to join if they want to learn a new technique or share one they know in a new way. Also since its senders choice you can get started right away! Hope to see you sign up Betsy aka user64556

This sounds like a really FUN idea! I've not made felt charms before, so I want to try making a few before committing to sending 5X5, so I'm watching for now. 25 charms might scare off a few folks, so you might want to think about lowering the number of partners to maybe just 2?

My idea and i may need to edit my swap description... is make a total of 5 ... one to each of your 5 partners. Let me check on that... and the charms don't have to be felted in the manner of wet felting or needle felting ..( they CAN be ) but just tiny little sushi rolls or stacks of wrapped colored bits etc... so sign up... What medium do you like to work in I want to lots of kinds.

Mantia You were right it wasn't clear... While edifying i tried to list it in 3 catagories and it only lists one...even tho i follow directions UGH!

Honestly friends I have written up a description for a swap before... sorry about the little issues with this one. Don't let it stop you. It will be fun and I think felt is an easy medium to use for beginner, embroiderers, sewers or any crafter.

Thanks for clearing up the bit of confusion there. I think this is a great swap idea and I'm looking forward to more like it!
