Description:

This swap is for members of the flickr group 'fabric swaps' only. It is international, ratings of 4.5 or above and newbies welcome, but please contact me first...

For this swap we will be sending one 'Boon Bag' package to two people (both bags must be the same) A 'Boon Bag' is just what it suggests - a lucky bag!

The package must contain: 1 fat quarter 3 homemade/bought items

3 homemade/bought items: These items can be anything you like! As this is the first Boon Bag swap, I am leaving it as senders choice! There is no theme, but if you want to theme your bags, go ahead! Some ideas for themes could be colours, cupcakes, festive (please check your partners religious preference if this is what you want to do)... If the item is not homemade, please ensure it is new... this means no opened and half used sticker sets etc.. (although these will do as extras)

Packaging: The packaging for your Boon Bag, doesn't have to be in a bag, as the name suggests, but be creative, don't just put your items in parcel paper and post them... Please wrap your lucky package up nicely, really beautifully, with ribbon or something nice. Take the time to make the whole thing beautiful, not just the contents... make something you would be 'lucky' to receive... then put it in some postal paper/bag and send.

Extras: You may add these if you wish, such as sweets, stationary, stickers... anything you wish. Extras are in no way essential and hearts are not to be withheld if a person doesn't add them.

Photos: Please take photos of your packages before sending and packages you recieve and post them to the new group for this monthly swap: http://www.flickr.com/groups/fsboonbags/

Sorry this was all so long.. but as this is the first 'Boon Bag' swap, I wanted to make it clear ^_^ if it all kicks off and is a hit.. we can all chip in and re-arrange the rules in a section on the 'fabric swap' forum.

Thanks guys! and have fun! Contact me on here, or on flickr with any questions!!

can you explain me what is a "boon bag", regular size and so...

poco 12/16/2007 #

The size of the bag doesn't matter.. as long as it has a fat quarter and 3 gifts (homemade or bought new) then the size of the actual bag doesnt matter! It is up to you really!

Here is an example of the packaging for a fabric swap I have done previously:

I didn't actually put my partners' items in a bag...Because of all the stuff I was sending and because I needed to send in a padded envelop because of shipping fees. I had planned to wrap the stuff in the fat quarter but it didn't fit in the envelope...blah!....I hope you guys like what I sent nonetheless :)
