Description:

This swap is inspired by one of the most well-known Harajuku fangirls ever, Gwen Stefani, and her music video "What you waiting for?"

You will send your partner the following:

  • Enough tea for two cups (no herbal or lipton; preferably a nice quality tea brand; state in the comments if you don't want loose leaf)

  • A tea snack (biscuits, cookies, macaroons, candy, asian or british snacks, etc..) .. (list any allergies in the comments or your profile!!)

  • A fashionable magazine to read while she drinks her tea (japanese fashion, hip young culture, couture and high-fashion, etc..)

  • An extra item inspired by the "What you waiting for?" video (theme examples: alice in wonderland, fashion, make-up, clocks, tea cups, top hats, twins, satin, tea, white or pink rabbits, corsets, gardens, roses, crowns, royalty, rich and vibrant colors [baby blue, pink, red, white]) ... make sure you watch the video!!!

Swap value: $13-15 (before postage) ... Absolutely no dollar store items allowed. Everything must be in new and good condition and non-expired! Any make-up sent must be sealed and unused! Do not send anything that is specifically stated as a dislike on your partner's profile.

. . .

Please package all of your items nicely by using your imagination and creativity. Do not just stuff everything into a plain beige bubble envelope or brown box and send it off.

You should also take extra care in packaging everything properly so nothing breaks while in transit. Of course, we cannot control how the post office handles our packages, but at least try your best to limit your partner receiving a smashed swap.

This swap is open to group members in good standing who have a 4.9 rating, at least TEN type-3 swaps rated for, and a well filled out profile. No recent 1's within the past 6 months and no unexplained 3's within the past 6 months. Flaking on this swap will get you banned from any of my future swaps and removed from the group.

. . . . .

Wow, amazing swap Ros! Glad to see it up!

robotlove 06/24/2011 #

Edited the swap value to $15 because I felt $10 might not be enough for all 4 items.

Aesa 06/25/2011 #

Can we put it objects hand-made? (..^_~..)

robotlove 06/25/2011 #

Handmade is fine if you take into account the overall swap value. :)

This may sound stupid, but.. must the magazine be in english?

robotlove 07/ 5/2011 #

Hmm. Definitely not a stupid question. It was something I hadn't taken into consideration, so thank you for bringing it up.

I think part of the appeal of swapping with international partners is getting something in the mail you might not find in your own country. So how about this? Non-english magazines are fine as long as it isn't just full of text (preferably magazines with a lot of images and "eye candy".) That way, even if your partner doesn't understand the language, they can still enjoy looking through the magazine. {hope that helps}

Aaah, yeah, I got it, thank you for the clarification! :D I think I can join now!

robotlove 07/10/2011 #

No loose leaf tea, please. (Allergies: Pecans & Almonds)

Thanks for reading~! :)

I am allergic to the grapefruit, thanks.. (..^_~..)
