The Facts:
you will be sending ONE yarn ball to ONE partner you need to use at least one full skein of yarn = minimum of 6 oz.. I have read though that to completely cover the goodies it will probably take 2 skeins of yarn (12 oz +) Any type/color of yarn is welcome and is SENDER'S CHOICE, but make sure that it is clean!! Put in as many goodies in the ball as you like - I won't set a minimum but the goal is to wow your partner, not underwhelm them.. think "spoil"! They can be handmade, storebought, thrifted, or out of your stash..it can be crochet/knit/yarn related, OR not.. it's sender's choice on the contents of the ball as well. Don't forget to secure the end with either a ribbon or a broach of some kind to keep ball from unraveling in transit.. make it pretty and decorative! With us being in the Gulf Coast its not a good idea to put in chocolate items.. if you do put candy- put it in a plastic bag with the air removed. I don't think tiny lotions or liquids are a good idea in our southern climate. Here are some suggestions for items to put in ball: crochet tools, knitting tools (make sure to see which your partner would use - for example I only crochet and I don't knit), stitch markers, sewing notions, jewelry (handmade or storebought), ribbon, pens, pencils, chopsticks, tiny notepads (like post-its), beads (probably best in a tiny baggy or a sealed container), something crocheted or knitted by you, small needlebook, pack of needles in the package, tea, single serve coffee packets, tiny knick knacks, the sky is the limit (other than the items I mentioned that aren't a good idea based on where we live)!! I know you ladies are stellar so Im sure there will be no need for angels or worrying about ppl following the rules!
