Welcome to my profile.

I am a new member and looking forward to sharing and making some friendships along the way. I am a daughter, mother, grandmother and many things to different people. I have four beautiful granddaughters who are in my care. They share my enthusiasm for creating and they all have a different outlook in what or how they create. We like to use paints, shimmers, pastels, inks, collage, and many other tools that might come our way. I enjoy creating journals and altered books, paintings, tags, bookmarks zines,and more. We have a dog and a cat both 10 years old and the cat is top dog around here, she cannot tolerate cats, and a yard that brings the birds around, the cat admires them from her window perch. I enjoy teaching my grandchildren to see the beauty that surrounds us. Sometimes it’s hard to get past the distractions the world has to offer them. I know that swapping art will bring a new interest to them that will show them art is not just about creating, it’s about community. God is the most important part of me, without Him I am nothing. I look forward to connecting with like-hearted followers.

Music - Worship music tops the list. I enjoy a variety of music.

Favourite books - The Bible tops this list. I do enjoy history books and books that teach us something worthwhile.

Favourite Movies - as a teen Jesus Christ Superstar really stood out and still does. The USS Indianapolis was a memorable movie and the old Where the Red Fern Grows is one to remember.

Favourite television- the naked archeologist is one I really enjoy. The Chosen is a series I enjoy.

Favorite crafts - original work, hand made work. I enjoy painting and putting a stronger interest into watercolour these days. I have a painting to bring out and watercolour is where I see the beauty of it coming through. I also enjoy bookmaking, journals, zines, ephemera, vintage and handmade papers, collage, card making, and from time to time something a little different.

I enjoy herbal teas, working with essential oils, and have an interest in nature and all those little beings that surround us. I have a greater appreciation for wasps and a variety of other little ones that I had seen as pests before.

I do appreciate whatever you may send and will pass along what I will not use. I for sure will use old papers, old ads, collage materials, napkins, envelopes, book and magazine pictures, history images, maps, Christian materials, floral, birds, bees, wasps, nautical, nature, history and encyclopedia and dictionary papers and newspaper clippings of good news happening around you.
